Here's mine, thought I'd bring a hacked setup
  • The hundreds of cable ties used to not make my desk look like a complete mess
you could have used those same words with a little twist to make the sentence make sense

the hundreds of cable ties used to make my desk not look like a complete mess.

if you moved the not forward 3 words it would make more sense

Here's mine, thought I'd bring a hacked setup into the thread:

Pictured:
  • Hackbook Pro XPS M1530, same specs as the old SR MBPs, but the 1920x1200 resolution screen was far better for coding then the 1440x900 offered by Apple, and saving $500 on top of that made it even sweeter.
  • Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 (Best Mouse Ever)
  • Samsung 22" 1680x1050 monitor
  • Microsoft Zune 8 GiB
  • Dell Keyboard with 2 port USB Hub
  • Ikea Lamp, not sure of the Model
Not Pictured:
  • HP MediaSmart EX475 Home Server for Time Machine backups and iTunes Library Streaming
  • Nokia E90 (What the picture was taken with)
  • HP L7680 OfficeJet All-In-One Network Printer
  • Leopard Retail Box
  • Logitech Headset for Skype
  • Yamaha Clarinova Electric Piano (My brother plays, I record and edit)
  • The hundreds of cable ties used to not make my desk look like a complete mess

how do you like the 1920x1200 screen in the xps 1530? do you find the text too small? i'm considering replacing my macbook pro's screen with a 1920x1200 screen and am looking for opinions.

I too am considering that. It's either that or an external - but I'm worried about space for the external monitor once I go off to college. However, if one of these new Mac Mini's comes out sometime that isn't some stripped down Atom Processor, I might just get the external to use with that/the MBP.

From the instructions on iFix it to replace the LCD Panel, it doesn't seem that hard -- It's just getting my hands on a panel that I know will fit.

I'm assuming you were talking about decoration and the like, in which case I would recommend putting up a large poster of about the width of your desk right above it. I think it would do your room some good.

Yeah I need to do some more art, I will probably will eventually put up a big painting or something. I have just moved houses, so still trying to sort things out at the moment.

If you're short on time, try this: get two buckets of paint and a large amount of protective foil. Plus some canvas of course. Paint the canvas black and let it dry. Then lay out the foil on the floor of your room, put up the dry black canvas, soak your brush in white paint and start splattering the paint all over your canvas. Let it dry and put it up on the wall. Done.

Pics? Because after all, this is the Photo Gallery Forum, where people post pictures of their setup...haha

Has anybody else noticed that recently there appears to be a ton of people just posting what they have without pictures, haha.
