Heh, thanks! I love these computers. The G4 was one of my dream desktops. I got it off craigslis.

I Really want one, but theyre still ~£300+ For the one i would want (17" or 20" 1.25Ghz Obviously) and i wouldnt use it because i love my MBP, and will only be replaced by something more powerful, lighter, or has a longer battery life :p

There definitely needs to be a wireless display system. So you would never have to hook up a laptop when you got home. Just open up Displays in system preferences, choose the display, and voila... wireless display hookups without the fuss.

I found a 15" in a skip. Needs a new hard disk & the NIC looks shot, but apart from that it's in perfect shape. I've got no use for it though, so it's been sat in the cupboard for 6 months.

the apple computers I want to own:
Current iMac for day-to day usage
iMac G4
iMac G3
Clamshell iBook
PowerBook 12" I would bring to school
and the mac mini I have now, cause you can'T throw away macs!

lol I had those computers you mentioned except the new iMac and Mac Mini. The iBook (all models) and iMac G4 are my favorite designs

£300? Wow, you can get some 17 and 20 1.25 for about $350 here. I have had a faster Mac (1.5GHz 12" PB), but not now. The Macs I have still do a great job for what I use them for.

Just for curiosity, what's a skip?

Here's mine, thought I'd bring a hacked setup into the thread:
11012009069.jpg

Pictured:
  • Hackbook Pro XPS M1530, same specs as the old SR MBPs, but the 1920x1200 resolution screen was far better for coding then the 1440x900 offered by Apple, and saving $500 on top of that made it even sweeter.
  • Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 (Best Mouse Ever)
  • Samsung 22" 1680x1050 monitor
  • Microsoft Zune 8 GiB
  • Dell Keyboard with 2 port USB Hub
  • Ikea Lamp, not sure of the Model

Not Pictured:
  • HP MediaSmart EX475 Home Server for Time Machine backups and iTunes Library Streaming
  • Nokia E90 (What the picture was taken with)
  • HP L7680 OfficeJet All-In-One Network Printer
  • Leopard Retail Box
  • Logitech Headset for Skype
  • Yamaha Clarinova Electric Piano (My brother plays, I record and edit)
  • The hundreds of cable ties used to not make my desk look like a complete mess
