Rapmastac1.
What is the SNES thing on the left? I would say its a NES, but its taking a SNES cartrige (sp?).
And I had a SNES, and that doesn't look like it.
its a retro duo or a famiclone system
The system is a Retro-Duo. They sell it at most game shops, I got mine at Play'n'Trade for 59.99. It comes with the A/V + S-Video cables as well as the power cable and two controllers. The controllers look exactly like the Super Nintendo controllers. It is capable of playing 99% of SNES games and 80% of NES games. It has two slots, the front is for SNES and the rear is for NES.
Here is a picture of it in the packaging -
Except mine is silver. The controller ports are standard SNES ports, so you can plug in an original Super Nintendo controller (like the Mario Paint mouse, a Laser Gun, ect).

The games look ok on the big screen (37" 1080p LCD set), but if you sit too close it looks pretty bad. The S-Video is ok, some games look better in S than others. Most of the games look best in the regular A/V cable though. Right now all the systems are connected and working pretty well. The Retro-Duo is connected through normal A/V and I can switch to S-Video, the N-64 is connected through A/V (looks pretty good on the big screen - DK64, Banjo Kazooie, Super Mario 64 all look great), the Xbox is connected through the advanced a/v pack through component, and the 360 is connected through HDMI.

For movies and stuff, I use my 360 with Netflix (controlled with the 360 remote, which also controls the tv as well). I can't really get HD because I don't meet the 8mbps requirement for HD streaming. So if I want to view true 1080p videos, I download them through my Mac and put them on a memory card - you can kinda see the card reader connected through my 360, sitting right under the power button.
In about six months I'm thinking about getting a PS3, buying an additional 750gb HD to put in the PS3, as well as the PS3 media remote. That way I can download videos and put them on a memory card and the PS3 has a reader for them. I can take the HD out and connected it to my computer and put videos directly on that, or I can just watch Blu-Ray movies. Oh yeah, it can also play games but that is what my 360 is for.
