I gotta say, I'm in love with my new set up! Story is: I bought the mini-dvi to DVI cable awhile ago and ran my MacBook in clamshell mode powering the 21" screen. It overheated after awhile of watching HD youtube videos so I figured that I'd just use it normally
Then I came across this thread and all of the MacBooks on stands/dual monitoring and I decided to do the same thing! I love having iTunes/Adium/Limewire on the MacBook screen and just browsing the internet on the 21", it makes computing so much more enjoyable.
Specs are:
-MacBook 2.1GHz, 4GB, 120GB, Intel GMA X1300 (144MB video ram)
-Wireless keyboard, mighty mouse
-Bose Companion Series II
-Blackberry Bold
-Xbox 360
-Microsoft Wireless Steering Wheel
-Griffin Elevator Stand
-1:18 F430 Challenge (among many others not pictured)
Not pictured is a PC 2.4GHz, 2GB, 250GB.
Oh yeah, and I'm 15 turning 16 in November. I've bought everything except for the 21" screen (my brother has lent it to me until I get my 23"), the desk and the chair
on to the pictures...
if you're wondering how I've got the MacBook like that, I just unscrewed the keyboard slider, shortened it and put it on the other side
And then when I get bored, I hook up the 360 and BAM, I'm rolling in my 250 GTO.
