Damn you guys have really nice setups.
I use what I can. Left over Samsung SyncMaster 152N monitor with old Logitech speakers from my old PC. Also have a 500 GB Portable WD External.

And the late 2008 uMBP

:p I kinda meant it as if you can afford to buy one and have one, quit whining. Having a mac is better then no mac. note to self, do not make forums posts while half asleep.

aaahhh makes sense!

i am currently saving up for when the "new" ones come out (whenever that may be). sadly, the ~2800Aus i have saved wont be enough to cover a new top spec MBP - will probs need to double what i have :(

Indeed Mr. Unibody MacBook Pro, I still have to use a 3yr old Dell Optiplex GX520 that was USED and using WinXP Pro Sp3!!! :(

Be grateful for what you have! Its ok to aspire for better or more but your MBP is still doing things nicely and efficiently. Also you can save a lil, sell the MBP (backup fully first and wipe clean of course), and fund your lust for the Unibody. Give that MBP to a family/person that really cannot feasibly afford new Apple pricing (even down the road).

Oops, sorry guys, that's not what I meant. I love my uMBP to death, don't get me wrong. ;)

I meant my setup as in, where I'm situating my laptop and external. Some of you guys have beautiful, clean sleek designs where you work.

That's what I meant.

Honestly, I haven't encountered a single reason to want to upgrade my PowerBook. My Dell with 10.5.8 seems to do everything my PB won't do.
$1,749 (or $1,644.00 with edu discount)for a new low end MBP with matte is just too much for my 15 year old self to pay for. That's why I hackintoshed dad's work laptop:D

Here's my latest set up,
the main desk is my Power Mac G4 with my duel monitors and my many external drives on the bottom shelf, and my many cables for my computers. My top of my shelf is littered with Mac OS Cd's because I'm installing OSX 10.3 on my Tangerine iBook right now.and my main laptop, the Indigo is on that robotic arm which reaches over my bed, and it's where I sit my laptop at night.I usually have my Indigo where the Tangerine is.and that is 2 web cams, one the one on the main screen works, the other Logitech need something like drivers to get it to work and I can't figure it out.:( Oh,the mouse next to the keyboard is running under my desktop and into the ibook,I finally got a wireless USB mouse and use that USB cable for my laptops I sit there.:)
but ya,I like my set up though it needs to be cleaned.

What should be visible in the pictures:
  • 2.4 Ghz Black Macbook w/ 4GB RAM, 250GB HD

  • Harman Kardon Soundstick IIs
  • Apple Wireless Keyboard (3battery version, getting 2 battery soon)
  • Logitech MX Revolution
  • Intuos3 6x11 tablet
  • Brother HL2170 wireless laser printer
  • Maxtor 500GB ext HD
  • Behind the monitor is a Linksys WRT320N

Edit: I'm 18 and this is my dorm room setup.

Already posted on the other Thread on this, but this is in my room, rather in the living room... so it's actually more honest.

I do most of my production here. :) Late 2008 Macbook btw... with a PS2... because PS3's are too expensive and suck.

here's my set up with my new arrangement and my newest computer,my eMac 1Ghz.The keyboard and mouse that are hooked up to the ibook are because the tractpad and keyboard died on me.:(The reason I still use it it because the ibook has wireless and the emac doesn't,and i can't run another eithernet to my room.So via firewire I use the iBook to provide internet to the eMac.:D Oh,the last picture is my parts shelf.
