@macgeek18 Find a good spot to hide an ethernet switch, will make it easier unless you like using that iBook as a decoration:D My desk has a lot of space under it below the drawers where I hid mine. Although I do need to upgrade it to 1000 Mbit but I don't want to replace the 24 port switch.

Mine

Just put this into the main setup thread not realising i fall into this thread, All of this I bought myself both the iMac and the MBP i got when they first came out. I am hoping to get a new router as this one doesn't cope to well nor can i edit the NAT settings as i want them. I am 17 and at the moment looking for a job in IT though working as a storeman.

My Setup:
Late 08 2.4ghz MacBook Pro
Late 09 Quad Core 27" iMac
26" Bush HD Ready (not full blown)
xBox 360 Elite (showing MW2)
Logitech Z4's
WD 1TB HD (hidden behind iMac)

The iMac and MBP are running Synergy allowing me to use the same mouse and keyboard for both all i do is go to the left of my imac and the mouse follows on like dual monitor.

Sad to here it mate. I have had a few hiccups but found out the problem, do not turn off your 360 by the button while running a game sometimes the lens doesn't reset.

Forgot to say thats my iPhone on the desk (3G)

what do you mean by using the button on the 360 to turn it off "the lens doesn't reset?"

I'm 18, and work at BestBuy currently, but have maintained a well paying job for over two years. I've paid for all of this myself (some partially re-imbursed by this Christmas, but I still had to front the cash. But I've got quite a bit stockpiled so I'm okay on that front).

Setup isn't usually that crowded, that was just everything up there at once for the photo. But basically it is this:

-19" Dell LCD connected the the MacBook Air (1.6GHz Rev B with 64GB RunCore SSD), also the SuperDrive is up there.
-Apple Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse for the Mac.
-iPhone 3G S (16GB) with the Apple iPhone 3G Dock.
-Compaq Mini NetBook with Microsoft Mobile Mouse 6000.
-Logitech Xbox 360 Remote (Controls my PC, both Xboxes, and the TV functionality itself).
-32" Dynex LCD TV/Monitor with the PC (Stats in my signature), with Razer Lycosa Keyboard and Razer Mamba Mouse.
-Dr. Dre Studio Beats on the PC monitor.
-2 Xbox 360s, the one that is visually modded is my hacked one that I play burned games on. (Subwoofer is beside them).
-The blue light on top of the PC tower is a Nintendo DS Lite with an R4 card for playing all my games (got about 2000 titles saved to my PC).

Not Pictured:
-Bose dock for my iPhone.
-500GB latest model Western Digital Passport.
-Canon Pixma 620 all-in-one printer.
-iPod Shuffle 3G, 4GB.
-Apple In-Ear Headphones.

What have been your jobs? I'm in dire need of some cash, I've got a lot of things I'd like to get lol. I'd really like to land a Best Buy job, but I feel like that should come in a year or two. Specifically, what was your job when you were 15?

Really like the setup by the way!

How much DID you get it for? I am just curious if there is a story behind it.
Well, there isn't much of a story behind it, although it was pretty cheap. It was listed on CL for $75 with a hard drive that was 'going out'. I think the owner undervalued it. The 20" model usually is in higher demand. Anyways, It came with the iMac, speakers, mouse, CD's, power cord, books, and the iSight! That alone was worth the $75. I swapped the HD from my 15" and it still gave problems. It turned out to be a faulty RAM stick, which I removed. So now it's running dandy.

Wow, he wayyyy undervalued it, he could have easily gotten $200 for it.

Too bad Craigslist is crap where I live, same for Kijiji, occasionally there is a good deal (I got a PowerMac G3 w/ original keyboard & mouse & Monitor for $8 :))

iMac G4s are beautiful but I'm selling mine now since my 733Mhz PowerMac is faster (it's all about the Cache, the iMac onlyhas a 256kb Cache) I may buy a PowerBook G4 :D

I worked at Subway when I was nearly 16, QuikTrip (a large gas station chain here in the South) for nearly two years, and now BestBuy.

My pay has gone from:

$6.55/hour-Subway
$8.25/hour-QuikTrip
$9.75/hour-QuikTrip
$10.50/hour-BestBuy

Check into refing sports. I refed Soccer from when I was 12 until early 20's. Around where I live you can get $30+ a game easily. I used to ref 6 games a weekend.

Here's my main setup, a 20" iMac G4 (1.25GHz, 120GB, 512MB). Guess how much I got it for! It has a aluminum keyboard, and Apple mouse, along with an iSight. I have other computers to post later. I'm 17, BTW.

Very cool wish I had a iMac g4! Nice find. :)
