Cool, I'm gonna get some then, just the white ones though :D

All my accessories=white
(mouse, Apple remote, the dock, iPod, etc)

Computer & hardware=alluminum/silver :D :D

I have one question though, if you have those speakers plugged in, then plug in the headphones (with the speakers still plugged in...) does it go to both, the headphones, or the speakers?

I'm not sure; I would have to check that out. However, I would think it would go through just the headphones, cause my old speakers did that.

Here is my newest arrangement. Not shown is my 4gb Nano, Dell 4550 p4 desktop, HP LaserJet 1012 printer, 300gb Maxtor HD, apple keyboard, and Canon LiDE 30 Scanner. Hidden in the pic next to my printer is my Razr. Underneath my landline phone is my totally awesome floppy drive.

How do the creatures sound?

ryannel2003 said:
Yeah I love mine. Have clear sound, and even with the bass and treble at half they still put out. It was down to the Creatures or the Soundsticks, but I think the Creatures are just as good. Plus, they're red and very few people have red Creatures so they look cool imo. :)

I 2nd that. I have a pair of Creature whites, sound awesome for the price. Definately a 5 star creation from JBL.

lol thanks, Unfortunatley, i use the arrow keys, but with the bluetooth keyboard its almost like a remote, just huge. Here in sacramento the air click USB is so damn hard to come by. Most stores (eg:best buy, circuit city, compUSA) only carry them online. I hate that. The only place that has it is the apple store, but its rarley in. The guys always say "oh the air clicks are on auto re-supply" but they never come in.

i know you can use a cell phone w/ BT to control it, and mine has it, but it dont have the remote option. i wander if i can just get an IR reciever and buy the apple remote n c if it works. hmmmmmmm

Update: thats what i said yesterday before i ran over to Frys Electronics today and picked up this lil baby:

When i first installed the software, it worked for itunes and everything else that you could possibly want a remote for (ie quicktime, DVD player)...everything except Front Row, which is primarily the reason i bought it. After checking it out, i found out that the packaged software was out of date and that Keyspan had a download...and it included front row support! Now it works flawlessly and i can control itunes, front row and everything else from afar. Apple has it listed as 60.00 but i only paid 40.00 what a difference.

May I suggest ditching AIM and getting Adium? Or iChat, anything is better then AIM.

Question about Adium...
Does it give you the ability to create a profile for AIM?

An offnote...
Does anyone see any reasons to get a macbook if you already have a perfect G5 iMac. For some reason the idea of a notebook sounds really nice, but one of those purchases you'd instantly regret. I'm only 15 y/o, so $1,300 doesn't come easy.

Don't waste your parents money. I couldn't dream of having a computer like the one you already have at that age. Live with it.

Will you please stop with that? He said he's 15 y/o and that money doesn't come easy.

He didn't say, Oh, I'm stupid and I can't work for myself so I spend my parents money.

I mean you're just being so negative about it, could of given him a little bit nicer advice.

Oh, right...I was seeing who he could have been talking to & it was confusing.

I like having a portable (I'm your age, if you didn't know). I take it more places than I thought I would have...& I don't like sitting at my desk when I need to use the computer, sometimes I wanna be in the study, my room, bed, livingroom, basement, blah, rawr...etc. If you were talking about SELLING the G5 then getting a MacBook, then maybe...but I don't know why you would get it in addition...unless the G5 is a family computer.

the iMac is mostly mine unless the family PC is being used, and except for some iMovie work my brother has done, but 95% of the use is from me. I'm not thinking or considering about selling the iMac. It's less than a year old and I love it. I guess I like that idea of portablility, but for me it's something that seems nice and glamorous when you don't have it and haven't spent $1300.

can we please not start this crap again
we already had enough of it

I am 14 and I recently bought an iMac core duo but would like a 12" portable for simple stuff like web browsing and light audio editing.

What do you suggest for less than $600?

I was giving advice? The money probably wouldn't be his at that age, and he has a perfect computer now. Why waste the money?

Ok let me rephrase that, you could have ended without the live with it.

But, I don't want to be in a whole thing with a member on here, because I like it here, so let me just end the argument that I may have started.

Got the 2.0 MacBook hooked up to a 17" NEC. Altec Lansing ATP3, Mighty Mouse, keyboard.

The windows machine is a 64 bit AMD, with 150 GB HD. It's the family comp, and I use a part of the HD as a backup for my MacBook.

Dude it looks so cool! right think i am settled, i HAVE to get one lol!

any one know how well they work with an HD TV as the external display? I see front row is working on your external display there all ok so should be the same with a TV right?
