Mmm Tim Hortons. I do miss it. I live in Shanghai now though so I've gotten attached to Starbucks, The Coffee Beanery and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, but good ol' fashioned bottom-of-the-pot Timmies is still the best coffee I've ever had.

Anyways, my setup. Or... room. There's a Mac in there though.

Monitors hooked up through screen spanning (not seperate computers)

Macbook White 2.0 ghz, 2mb owc ram, Creative 5.1 speakers (all hooked up to the headphones jack via a 3way splitter), Fantom Drive 80gig external, Kodak v550 camera dock (camera used for picture), 10gb 3g ipod, 19'' lcd, Samsung a950 cell phone, Jabra Bluetooth headset, microsoft wireless laptop mouse, cheap-o dell keyboard.

I'm 18. and broke unlike some of the posters here because I have to pay for my own **** and go to college.

Some nice set-ups here. If I didn't have to purchase a vehicle with the money I am making this summer, I would have my MacBook pro in the Fall. Perhaps in another year (I keep putting it off).

Do you have the link to the argyle desktop on your PowerBook? I really like it.

That argyle background inspired me to create a knock off. It came out pretty good imo. If anyone would like one with custom colors let me know!

I made it at 1920x1050. Which should scale pretty nice. If not I can do custom resolution as well. Just let me know what you need.

Most kids don't have to pay for taxes, bills, food, clothing etc. so all their money is saved and put towards things like that.

You and the post above you may have good points. IMO in major urban areas the under 18 crowd has great potential of earning $10 an hour for about 20 hours a week. That is about $800 a month. Add to that the support for other things that the under 18 crowd gets from their parents and the total monthly gross is much more perhaps.

Not to knock on your work, but shouldn't the white stripes be centered (i.e. each white intersection is in the middle of a solid colored diamond)...?

I assure you, it is not. The bedrooms are great, but the rest isn't.

Okay, I've changed my setup quite a bit. Same computer, but I've now got computer speakers instead of great big studio monitors (which will be used in, guess what? A studio!) and a printer. I scabbed a desk off my mum too...

There's a power adapter cable showing, because I need to take that adapter out and take it with me when I'm on the move. £60 for a MacBook Pro power adapter!!!!

Very nice. I love the desk. Cool looking, small, clean, etc. Good quality pics too. What kind of camera?

It's the same camera as lilstewart, a Nikon D50. It's also slightly lower res than normal...

It's just the bog standard lens that comes with it though! It's amazing! Bar a little bit of chromatic aboration, it's pretty difficult to flaw....

Actually, the lens does get in the way of the flash at times, when I'm taking a picture of something really close up. I do actually have an external flash kicking around somewhere...

Setup, Revised

This is basically my setup at the moment...revised from an earlier post.

Shown:
  1. MacBook Pro (Primary Machine) @ 2GHz w/ 2GB RAM.
  2. 23" Cinema Display
  3. PowerMac G5 @ 2x2GHz w/4.5 GB RAM
  4. 17" iMac G5 @ 1.8 GHz w/1GB RAM
  5. 12" iBook G4 @ 1.25 GHz w/512 MB RAM

I'm 16, all paid for by myself--from the personal profits I make from running Extendmac, my mac software and hosting company.

I'd almost posted my PC setups too (13 or so...), but this is a mac setup thread ;)
