You don't want to know what it looked like BEFORE I cleaned it.

I can afford new stuff, but I feel to wierd using it. I love old stuff, what can I say?

I really like how that desk matches the hue of your G4 tower. I really miss Apple's use of clear plastics. As nice as white is, the plastic just seemed to have more "character."

yeah, got it for 80 bucks off craigslist, got it home and it had a power surge. So now I cant shut it off or else it takes days to get back on. Really sad, but at least it still works.

EDIT: Oh yeh, everyone who has a JBL Creature 2: Where do you put that big base unit thing? In some of the pictures I can see the two little speakers but not the base one.

lol yes its quite sad. I stopped using the G5 after My ACD got a horrible blue line. I'll connect my new Apple LCD to my G5 and use it more when I upgrade the graphics card.

wow that is pretty much what i want. I really want the 15" MBP and the 23" ACD for when i get back for desktop use to plug into my MBP when its closed.

The "base unit" you're talking about is the subwoofer. I'd assume that most people put theirs on the floor. That's where you'll get the best sound out of it, actually.

Damn, I didn't know they were that sensitive to power surges. We had a bad one a couple of months ago where lightning struck the house, and I was using the computer while it was happening. The monitor blinked off for a second and came right back on. It fried the ethernet port the on the Dell, but other than that everything else stayed the same. I guess I got lucky, cause it could have killed the computer.

Well I have it up on a box well off the floor.(As you can see in my pictures a page back) But this is only because my room is in a basement and basements eat bass for breakfast. So it just sounds better off the floor. But if the system is not on concrete(even with carpet) then on the floor is the best spot for it.
