Hahah, you know how it is. The whole college student, lack of funds scenario!

Hey the essentials are there and it does the job!

Yeah 3G ipods are so nice, especially the red contrast with blue contrast with shiny white plastic. I miss mine

Didn't you hear? He's a college student, probably bought it at a discount without the power?

^ Hahah, yeah, i figured 3.5 hours was pretty good for 500 bucks.

Actually, it was in my book bag when I took the picture, and I didn't feel like taking it out. I do have one though!

As for the iPod comment, I love my 3g! I always felt like the build quality went down once they moved to the clickwheel. The wheel on my brother's 5g is off-centre a bit...
I'm going to have to get some funds together to get a new one though. The battery is non-existent, and the hard drive is on its way out too!

Buy a new battery and hard drive, install yourself using tutorials..

A lot cheaper then buying a whole new ipod.

Just received my Dell 2007FP!

Here's my setup for now in 2 different screen modes. I'm probably also gonna use 2 screens when needed.

Only problem with clamshell mode is that it heats up more than usual, so I might prop my MBP up on 2 books, one on each side, to keep airflow going past the underneath of it.

Also, does anybody know if there's a way to put a shortcut to rotate your screen in the display icon at the top right (in the apple bar)?

(posted in both 18 and under and in here now)

My set up is as follows:

-Powerbook 15" 1.67 (non HD lcd)
-Dell E207WFP 20" LCD
-Apple Keyboard(wired)
-Apple Mighty Mouse(wired)
-Samsung 800 watt 5.1 Sound
-30, soon to be 400, gig External Drive. (NexStar Enclosure, Maxtor Drive)
-40 gig 4G Ipod with Dock and Itrip
-Sony Clie SJ33
-Membership Card for Conservative (Alberta)

I also have a Toshiba pent 2 333 mhz laptop, but it just takes up room on my desk. ( I use if for the odd windows program, beats VPC ).
The pics are taken with a Canon Rebel XTi. Hopefully i am getting a flash for Christmas :D

Agree about the first one. Still, I have loads of software on my mackintoosh that I can't spell...

WOW! A Wireless iPod!!! :p

If you really want to go wireless, use an AirPort Express' 'AirTunes' feature to plug your speakers in. Of course, that's major overkill just for the sake of a clean desk. :D

3rd Gen iPods are still the sexiest iPods IMHO. Wonder why they switched to clickwheels.

Because the touch-sensitive controls have zero tactile feedback. I love my 3G, but I also like the fact that I know when I've hit a button on my nano. On the 3G, if nothing happens, I can't tell if it's because I missed the button, or if I have hold on, or what. On the nano, if I click, and nothing happens, I check the hold button. On the 3G, if I tap, and nothing happens, I usually try tapping a few more times. And since it usually sits in my pocket, it's harder to figure out what's going on with no tactile feedback. (Although I do like that with the four 'dots' of buttons, I can instantly tell which way is up. More than once, I've hit the wrong button on my nano because I just feel the wheel, and don't feel around to figure out which way the iPod is situated in my pocket.)

Mac pro 2.66 ghz, x1900, 1 gb ram, 160 gb, 320 gb drives, AP BT.
20.1" viewsonic
Yamaha 660 watt surround

Maxtor 250 GB external

This is the final setup of my eMac as my main computer. Tomorrow I'm getting my shiny new Dell! Sorry for quality, was taken with RAZR V3c.

Umm, I'm not really getting the joke..?

Care to elaborate??

he basically meant that because you have so many wireless things e.g. the mouse, internet, keyboard that the ipod was wireless and that if you didn't want to have that speaker cord showing you could get an airport express and make all of your music wireless. boom.
