Is it weird that none of the carriers nor any retail chains are talking about these yet? Usually my email is spammed with announcements and offers from my phone company, internet company, BBY and Target a couple hours after Apple announces a new mobile product like this but so far it's crickets and even their websites make no mention of them.
I was thinking of getting a new Air with Cellular but wanted to see how carrier/3rd party retailer offers stacked against Apple, but yeah, nothing.

Was really hoping they would release the vision pro in Canada. Come on Tim you’ve got at least one sale in Canada guaranteed.

Also I was excited for the new iPad airs to have Face ID so it can support the screen distance feature. This feature was aimed towards kids to help with healthy viewing habits. But who is buying their kids iPads Pros??

Will be keeping my M2 iPad Pro. I was hoping that Apple was going to add a 4 TB storage to the iPad and then I would have upgraded for the faster processor and two-fold more storage. As it stands I do not have enough reason to upgrade.

I’m sorry i am an avid Apple fan and love their products and quality but i was completely unimpressed today. It seems like the only users that would benefit form the new iPads and iPad Pro are high end graphic designers and music industry professionals. Apple really blew it for the day to day user. If they had put the new OLED display on the air than i could justify getting one. This marketing decision from Apple was clearly just to get people to spend money. I do not see the value of this update. Really my iPad Pro does everything i need it to do now. Why spend $1500 for a new one. Really Tim Cook Apple is missing the mark here. I literally was very disappointed today. A very lackluster ploy. :(

These iPads are way too expensive for me to justify the cost. I guess I'll keep my original iPad Pro for a while longer.
Yeah, same here. The feature set is definitely tempting - especially OLED seems nice and I'm curious what reviews say about the nanotexture.
But if I decided to upgrade both my iPad Pros (2020 models) now, that would put me at roughly 4.5k€ - more than twice the amount I paid for the current devices. I think, I'll have to wait at least until the higher amount of RAM and the nanotexture option trickle down to the models with less memory (so I guess at least 2 years).

I guess it still bothers me that the iPad feels like writing on slippery glass. This new Pro would be the perfect portable drawing tool otherwise. But drawing on glass is so hard for me, and then you have to wipe the greasy smudges off the screen constantly because the pencil tip will snag on it slightly. Yet a $20 graphics tablet on Amazon draws just fine, the cheap plastic scraping against each other is somehow a better drawing experience than a $2,000 tablet and pencil.

With new powerful M4 iPad Pro, it seems that the current iPadOS is even more behind. Apple needs to bring out not only “pro hardware”, but also “iPadOS Pro” this June to keep up with their own hardware.

The iPad is still a great piece of tech and all, but I can't say that I've ever been excited about one since the product first launched. To host an entire event for incremental updates (and not tease anything else exciting) is a huge stretch...

Apple is coasting on past successes, and it ain't gonna last much longer.
There is only so much they can innovate. They made a breakthrough product in Apple Vision, but who needs it?

I don't think they have an issue in terms of hardware.

In terms of software though, I feel iPads are not being fully utilised. They have so much power, it's time to start moving towards a hybrid UI. When unplugged it's mobile, iPad OS UI; when connected to a monitor with keyboard, and a mouse, it's a full fledged MacOS.
