yes yes yes - everything I wanted with only one exception.

I was expecting 4 TB and we only got 2 TB - but otherwise the iPP 11" has become a dream machine - ordered one for me and one for wifey - amazing features and I hope this is going to be an as good companion as my iPP 2018 still is.

The Geekbench 6 results are stunning!
Single Core: 3082
Multicore: 13063

That's simply amazing - my M1 Max from 2021 scores something like 12500 - curious what the ML score will be - does anyone know the results yet?

So now we have an iPad Pro that is as expensive as a MacBook Pro an iPad Air that is heavier than an iPad Pro (makes total sense) , 4 Apple Pencil!, not sure what keyboards works on what and not sure why would we need a Pro so much ? I am hoping all will be revealed in June at WWDC

Things were clarified today. The iPad 9 is finally gone while the 10 becomes the entry level with a respectable price reduction—that had to happen and it did. The iPad Pro went upmarket, and with tandem OLED and base storage of 256 the price increase wasn’t nearly as steep as had been expected. And the Pros are now prosumer products just like the Macbook Pros.

The iPad Air 11 got a spec and decent storage bump while holding on price—thats a fair deal. Additional the Air now offers a 13in. option without paying stratospheric Pro prices—no reasonable complaints here. The Air is now largely what the previous Pro was, but without the higher Pro pricing—thats reasonable.

All the b****hing and moaning over unrealistic expectations from the usual suspects who will buy anyway or likely wouldn’t buy no matter what was introduced—they just like to complain and sound superior.

If I were to nitpick it would be regarding the irony the iPad Pro is thinner and lighter than the iPad Air. That is weird, but not a deal breaker.

Let's see the Geekbench scores for those M4 iPad Pros please. Come on Apple! (Days like this I miss the dude who used to run BareFeats)

marrying storage size with cpu core and ram size is such a shtty lame move that only Tim Cook can come up with. Why not offer them separate, majority of the people who wants 2x ram and more cpu core dont need 1 tb of space on the damn ipados. ,,!,,

The iPad is used heavily in aviation. Every pilot I know has one... more than 100 people.

Oh, I can see the usefulness of such accessory in some professional environments or occasions. Still it’s cost efficiency is at most casuistic compared to either an iPhone or a Macbook.

In my case it’s so casuistic that it only adds cognitive complexity on top of other devices.

Apple didn't announce anything that I personally want; therefore, Apple is out of touch and will go bankrupt soon!
I have an iPad Air 5 I picked up in December 2022. I quite like it and I usually keep my iPads about 4-5 years. But I have to say I‘m intrigued with the new 13in. iPad Air. A big iPad without the Pro pricing—thats interesting and tempting.

I will wait to see them in person when we get them in stock at work. If I like what I see I just might make the upgrade much earlier than usual.

It’s on purpose, if they did that no one would buy their laptop.
Actually I’d bet if MacOS was on iPads it would still be fine as a selling point.

Microsoft can do Surface tablets and laptops.
Why shouldn’t Apple do both too?

You take the keyboard off when you just want a finger based computer.
Whack the keyboard on and you’re good to go with MacOS or MacOS lite…

Maybe wait until WWDC and see what comes… the hardware is in place now for something new to happen ;)

Really my iPad Pro does everything i need it to do now. Why spend $1500 for a new one.
If it does all you need, why would you want a new one in the first place? I'm still rocking my iPad pro from 2017 and it's still going strong.

I like the new products! And think they are solid. I would upgrade from Air2 and Mini4. But prices keep increasing, and is too much for what I use. So the only way I will get some, probably is a refurbished or slightly used one in the future.

Yes I know, everything is getting more expensive. Except my salary :D

Good update to the iPad Pro. Nice to see 13" option for iPad Air. Also good to see that the entry level iPad is now priced much lower

The thing is, barely no one buys an iPad AND a Macbook anyway. Meaning the cannibalization is small.

I think macOS or some variety of it is coming to the M-lines of iPads this WWDC. This is also the reason for the rumor about "touch-enabled macOS testing". They were never gonna release a laptop with touch-screen. The iPad Pro is where it's at.

This is also the reason they won't release a new 12 inch macbook. The iPad Pro will do the honors for that form factor.

That hydraulic press ad is absolutely awful. Demoralising. Horrifying

At a time of war and destruction, do we want to see all these symbols of human creativity and achievement crushed under the violence of mindless technology?

The meme is real: Steve Jobs would have never allowed this

Apple is finished
I agree.
It was a very strange ad… but I guess that's the "new" Apple Inc.
