I'm already digging how light this phone feels in hand.
Added the insurance $13 plus tax monthly comes out to around $14.15 really really really want to run with no case lol I know I always go through this..
Haven't added insurance yet.. but plan on it. I have 57 days to sign up... so no rush. I had waited to add AppleCare on the iPad Pro as well (two days before ineligibility).

I've been a proponent of not using cases for years... engineers put some much time and effort into designing these devices, feels criminal to cover it lol. But on the flip side of it, folks want to protect their phones... so I get it. My family member is known for being irresponsible when it comes to keeping good care of her iPhone, so I make sure she gets a case.

This is the first time I opted for a carrier version since it included the Care+ ( 1st yr ) at no additional charge. I'll get it unlocked on day 1 ( since it's all paid up upfront ) and rock it naked ( got the blue color ) just as I am with my iPhone 15PM. Really don't like cases anymore.

Man.. adding Care+ post purchase is no fun with Samsung!! Went thru that with the S24U and it was a royal PITA with sending pictures of various angles, then waiting for it to get approved, and then even with the approval the Care+ didn't show up against my S24U in the account. Chatting with support raised my BP!! so ended up calling and manually enter the Care+ info.. ugh!! what a mess!!

Good Luck, is all I can say!

Adding AC+ to my 15PM on the 58th day was a piece of cake. No verification, no pics or video BS submissions or waiting for approval. It was quick and instant!

I went to the members app as soon as I transferred all stuff from my pixel fold.. Care+ was right there on the main screen and signed up and 2 minutes.. I currently have insurance on the pixel phone but I'm going to keep it on till it's traded in and approved

Fold feels like it might be running a little warm at random times. Surely it's the typical day one setup thing.

It will pass after day one. I haven't noticed it feeling warm the past few days. Today is 106 F outside and Fold 6 has been running just fine outdoors. It is noticeably brighter in full sun than the Fold 5.
Good deal, thanks. Yeah, I was outside with it earlier and the screen looks so good in direct sunlight with all of those nits.

Very happy to be back in this form factor.

I did the same process with my Fold 4 through the website (waited nearly for ineligibility) ... didn't have to send any pictures or anything. Never had to contact Samsung, just entered my IMEI through the Care+ website and payment information. It was straight forward.

If you go through the Settings... About Phone, it shows Samsung Care+ information. I was able to tap on that... and it directly led me to where to sign up for it.

Some early thoughts.I can't believe this phone is so light , set up through smart switch from my pixel phone was a breeze with no heating issues. I think I broke my record for fastest full set up. I have a ways to go to customize it though ..damn them multiple settings Samsung haha..it's great to be back though..battery sipping slow discharge is great so far .. it might be me but my Android Auto looks better on the car ..it's probably me ..did I mention this phone is light ? Screen pops and crease is much better than any previous foldable ive used ..I'm happy day one user..

I decided to go a different route and go from the Z flip 5 to Motor Razr+ 2024. I just didn't see a reason to be just getting the same phone twice IMO. Enjoying the better Cover screen for sure and the form factor is more to my liking.

Like this minimalistic case. Let’s see how long it stays this color or lack thereof haha

I think Samsung increased the width of the cover screen juuuust enough for it to be good for me to type on without error. I'm glad they kept the aspect ratio of the inner screen almost the same as well. Keeping a very similar aspect ration on the inner screen makes it much easier to type on without using a split keyboard. An inner screen like the Pixel Fold, and maybe even the OnePlus Open are too wide and I hate split keyboards.

Are you into swipe typing? I use a combination of split and floating keyboard (only with the S-Pen) on the inner screen.

Ditto! And I resize the keyboard… making it a bit smaller.

Nice! I was debating that case too. Is it soft TPU or it is hard poly-carbonate case?

The first case I had on my Fold4 was super slim like the one you have but without the S Pen at the time. I loved that case until the Fold4 slipped out of my hand the first week and landed on the kitchen tile. The case was unblemished because the hard plastic transferred all the force to the Fold4 and left a half-inch crack on the back glass. I couldn't believe it. After that I've been distrustful of hard poly-carbonate cases, unless they have soft cushioned edges and corners.

Could it be a in-between? like it is not super "hard" but also not as soft as other cases I used to have. The one downside I have noticed is that it does not work too well with the Spigen screen protector like the corners are a little bubbly now. Mos likely from the case bumping onto it in the corner.

That's disappointing to hear about the screen protector contact. My Caseology screen protector lifts up at the corners too with the Torras case. The Caseology kit came with two screen protector and an application guide to ensure perfect alignment but the Torras case kept causing the corners to lift, whereas another slim case I have doesn't cause any issues with the screen protector.

The question is why do we actually need a screen protector since the screen is already behind a case though ...

Do you mean cases that come with a built-in screen protector (but interferes with touch sensitivity), or the fact that most cases have a raised lip to keep the screen off a surface?

I still like having a screen protector for accidents like the time I went hiking and my phone screen fell against the edge of a rock. The raised lip didn't offer any protection and the screen protector cracked, saving the main display.

Then I agree, if it has an integrated screen protector then no point in having a second one. However, how has the typing experience been? The last case I had with an integrated front screen protector left a tiny air gap and would make annoying sounds while i tapped, but more irritating was typing wouldn't registered sometimes.

Can you share a link to the case you have? It comes with its own stylus right? How does that compare to the S Pen?

Another member on Android Central mentioned that this screen protector works with no lifting maybe there is hope for other screen protectors not lifting with cases
