You can go to Pro Mode... and change the ISO.

Well, I skipped the 5.... I'm coming from the 4.

Immediately upon holding it... as @SteveJUAE stated, it's a significant change from previous models. One nugget I realized with OneUI 6.1.1... when you go to copying from the Files app, it immediately shows a dialog box to guide you to the target destination. I thought that was a nice touch.

But overall, I like it. The squared off edges allows more content to be shown... it's much lighter, can't really decipher the thinness of it. Moving around the OS... it's snappy. But it wasn't as if the Fold 4 was struggling. Haven't messed around with any of the AI stuff (rarely used the Circle to Search when introduced for OneUI 6.1).

And the crease isn't as noticeable from the Fold 4... I can see some improvements in that area.
Would you be kind to tell us the version of the MyFiles app please?

Cheers.

The access is better on the Fold6 Torras S Pen case this year. I can live with it whereas the Fold4 version was impossible.
Thanks and agree on the 4 case. I'll order one and give it a try. Wish they had a black spen Samsung case. I can live without magsafe and would just stick a finger.grip.on the back

I saw the blue Fold 6 and I want it lol. Looks so nice and sleek. It feels lighter than my S23u but I don't want to give up the 10x zoom.

lol ... what is that Flossy says about that view? ;)
is there a quality software alternative that comes close to granting that? or a 4rd party camera lens option that does the trick when you need it snap it on, when not needed snap it off?

Fold keep getting thinner each year. There's even rumor that the Fold 7 will be as thin as the S24 when folded. I guess my hopes of ever seeing an integrated S-Pen in a fold are gone. 😢
I recall seeing a poll on Reddit or maybe it was some Android site... where 20% actually used the S-Pen with their Fold, not sure if those numbers are indicative of why we haven't seen it yet.

But I did watch a video displaying Fold prototypes... so, I believe we will see it integrated.

Twenty percent seems like a low take rate to me. I used the S Pen a lot when I had the Note8 and Note10+, but my S Pen use has dramatically dropped with the Fold 4/5/6.

I needed the precision of the S Pen on the smaller Note screens but ironically the S Pen needed less because of the Fold's large inside screen. Yet I feel compelled to get an S Pen case just because the Fold supports it, even though I seldom use the stylus now.

not yet placed order

i still am sitting on the fence, maybe i am just an overly cautious consumer of a tiny spending budget
Understandable. Figured from the beginning of the year you were set on having a first crack at it... while planning to share in some of your experiences since you been on the outside looking in for a while now.

@bgro, what was it about the Fold6 official Samsung S Pen case that you didn't like?
Not enough room on the back of the case to support the magsafe accessories I like (due to the S pen holder taking up space)

Front cover makes it hard to swipe from the edges if using good lock type gestures

Color choices (not overall important)

I'm going to keep the slim clear MagSafe case and return the Torras. The Torras is just too wide with the S Pen in the side holster.

What MagSafe accessories do you use? I’m deciding to add a MagSafe grip/ring holder… not sure which one yet.

Do you use the S pen and if so where are you going to keep it?
I had the Samsung S Pen case on my Fold5 for three months and liked having the S Pen within reach but honestly rarely used it. I used the S Pen everyday on the Note8 and Note10, but so much with the Fold series. Odd actually.

I'm tempted to try the Fold6 S Pen case. @bgro, are you able to please measure the flat area from the edge of the back to the point where the S Pen bump starts to slope up? I want to see if it's less space than the Fold5 S Pen case.

On Friday, Xiaomi announced the Mix Fold 4. Another super slim foldable, with good cameras, and a huge battery. The Friday prior the Honor Magic V3 was released with a ridiculously shiny folded thickness of 9.2mm and weighing in at only 226g...

It seems these Chinese models are using some new battery tech that Samsung (and Apple) aren't using yet. So those 'thinner devices' rumours make sense... there's also a rumour of a Fold 6 Ultra or Slim for the Chinese/Korean markets

Really weighing up these devices. The only benefit I get with Samsung is Felicia support (Japanese NFC), but everything else works in Japan.

Without a doubt

It’s been a long time waiting for my first try

the fact the xiaomi flip has a bigger battery than fold 6 is nuts to be honest.

This has got to be the one of the strangest thing ever! So, I do the delivery/puchase experience survey sent from Samsung… gave them a rating of 10 for how well the process went. And not too long ago (less than 5 mins)… I get an email that my trade in has been successfully approved.

So, I’m stunned… excited and relieved. To have all this behind me… but I had to second guess it, because on Friday when I sent it off the estimated delivery date was set for 22nd. So, I go and check the tracking number again… and it‘s still schedule for tomorrow. Welp, I’m not sure what to believe… plan to contact them to get some clarification.

That's awesome. I did the survey too but didn't receive any other updates. However, I found it odd Samsung sent two separate emails saying my Fold6 was "delivered today". I received the first email on the actual day it was delivered, then again the next day.

Samsung needs to work on their notification system. On that survey I gave them a 9 overall and docked them for quirky website behavior and miscalculating trade-in values. Hopefully they do something with the feedback.

Haven't contacted them yet. But I checked my order on the Samsung Shopping app... and it indeed shows my trade-in was successfully processed.

But yeah, 10 rating seems kind of high. But I looked at the fact... I was expected to get the phone on the 24th and got it early. I peeped that after I preordered, the discounts were much higher than before... contacted Samsung and they gave me a refund (no pushback).

On second thought, I'm going to return the slim clear case. The issue is the rubber edge on the case's front cover is thick and gets in the way of making flush contact with the fingerprint sensor.

Even with the S Pen in place, the Torras case actually makes it easier to reach the fingerprint scanner than the non-S Pen clear TPU case. I am going to give the Torras case a few days to see if the lifting of the screen protector gets better. Maybe I'll try a different screen protector from Spigen. The one I currently have is from Caseology, which fits the Fold6 perfectly but doesn't play nice with the Torras case. I don't know if it's a screen protector issue or a Torras issue.

I have a leftover Fold5 screen protector I can use to solve the Torras fitment issue, but then some of the Fold6 pixels will go past the edge of the Fold5 screen protector and that's going to drive my OCD nuts.

Looking at them both now thanks. Think the main thing I don't like about the 6 s pen case are the color choices (I have a black phone and want a black case), but more importantly the spen part just takes up too much room on the back so using a magnetic ring doesn't fit my use case which is primarily using a magsage pop socket and a magsage pop socket wallet combo.

I might just end up using the Samsung case with one of those stick on finger holder things but gonna try the Torras first.
I forgot to mention this, but the Torras S Pen case is advertised on Amazon as sort of blue, but honestly it's black if you're interested. I just noticed it this morning when I put the Torras back on the Fold6. It's more of a matte black but it's most definitely black sitting on my desk next to my black Samsung wireless charging pad, Fold6 box, and Buds3 Pro box. I distinctively recall the Torras Fold4 case was a dark blue, but this Fold6 version is clearly matte black.

Yeah, I think that's the best decision... when looking at the photos you posted. The slim clear MagSafe case looks more compact and not as bulky looking with the Fold.
