Loving the Fold6! Even coming from a Fold5 the 6 is a breath of fresh air. An extra millimeter here, reduction of a millimeter there, altogether it's a really meaningful difference. I used SmartSwitch to transfer all my apps, settings, and data and was up and running on the Fold6 in 30 minutes. Everything is expectedly smooth and the phone feels great in the hand.

Right now it's caseless until Amazon delivers my case tomorrow. I just have to be extra careful with it for the next 24 hours. I already sent back the Fold5 trade-in. Hopefully FedEx doesn't lose it. I recorded the packing and drop-off. Does Samsung include insurance with the return labels? I hope so!

I must say, the Buds3 Pro are a nice improvement too! For only an extra $60 after all promos, it was definitely worth it. The stems are a copy of AirPods Pro but they do make it easier to control volume, ANC settings, and playback than the Buds2 Pro. The Buds3 Pro also fit more securely in my ear and appear to have a larger soundstage than the still-pretty-good Buds2 Pro.

My Fold 4 has been sent back as well (went before 1pm), Recorded the packing along with the factory reset.

I just checked to see when it will arrive to Samsung… date expected Monday, not sure why it’s going to take 2 days when the destination is roughly 30 miles away. Hopefully no shenanigans take place!

Yeah, I‘m going to wait it out on upgrading my Buds 2 Pro... It does the job currently. I’ll only upgrade when issues occur.

But good to know they are worth it! My eyes set on the upcoming Pixel Watch…

Is it normal that the phone is a little on the hotter side in the beginning? Guess it is doing some optimization in the background
I noticed that too, a little warmer the first few hours. I think that's normal since there's a lot going on when you do the initial setup/restore.

I am really tempted to stay caseless. It just feels so nice...that is until it slips out of my hand one day and cracks the back glass. That will surely affect any future trade-in value. I suppose I just submit an insurance claim for that. I will wait to see how the case fits.

I really can't get over the weight of the Fold6. It's so svelte! I know it's not the lightest foldable in the world, but the Fold6 is technically lighter than an iPhone 14 Pro Max (and a lot better balanced in hand than the iPhone).

I've also noticed less typing mistakes on the ever-so-slightly wider cover screen. 😀

Yeah, your guess is right.. doing some optimization. I didn‘t do any device to device transfer…. it was a fresh install for me. Make sure you do some Auto Optimization in Device Care under Settings.. I have mine set to Auto Restart every other day, except the weekend.

Another dumb question but I can’t figure it out. How do I get those brightness settings on Android / Samsung? I use it a lot to brighten up some dark shots like at a concert but I can’t figure it out. I keep trying to tap and swipe out of habit from iPhone but it just switches to the Selfie cam

How significantly better for you is it from the 5?

Fold 6 has shipped and should get here Tuesday. Got my Watch Ultra yesterday and man it is nicer than expected. I thought it was just a straight up Apple Watch Ultra clone like alot of people at first but now that I have it I think it's a much better looking watch. I like it so much I may order the white one as well 🤦‍♂️

You can go to Pro Mode... and change the ISO.

Well, I skipped the 5.... I'm coming from the 4.

Immediately upon holding it... as @SteveJUAE stated, it's a significant change from previous models. One nugget I realized with OneUI 6.1.1... when you go to copying from the Files app, it immediately shows a dialog box to guide you to the target destination. I thought that was a nice touch.

But overall, I like it. The squared off edges allows more content to be shown... it's much lighter, can't really decipher the thinness of it. Moving around the OS... it's snappy. But it wasn't as if the Fold 4 was struggling. Haven't messed around with any of the AI stuff (rarely used the Circle to Search when introduced for OneUI 6.1).

And the crease isn't as noticeable from the Fold 4... I can see some improvements in that area.

I have the Fold6 Torras S Pen case set to arrive today, as well as a plain clear MagSafe case to compare against.

I didn't like the Torras S Pen case for the Fold4 because it was too wide and the big S Pen for that year blocked the fingerprint sensor. Hoping the Torras Fold6 version will be better.

I actually really liked the Fold5 S Pen case from Samsung and I added a magnet ring on the back. The Samsung Fold6 S Pen case though seems to have a wider slope on each side of the S Pen slot so I don't know if there's room to add a magnet ring anymore. What did you not like about the official Samsung Fold6 S Pen case?

I had the Torras for the Fold 4 as well and didn't like it for the same reason. Could never quickly access the fingerprint sensor. I'll take a look at that one again, I could have sworn the one on Amazon doesn't have an S pen holder anymore

There are two versions of the Torras, with and without the S Pen holder. The S Pen one is pricey, but the one without S Pen isn't much cheaper.

Looking at them both now thanks. Think the main thing I don't like about the 6 s pen case are the color choices (I have a black phone and want a black case), but more importantly the spen part just takes up too much room on the back so using a magnetic ring doesn't fit my use case which is primarily using a magsage pop socket and a magsage pop socket wallet combo.

I might just end up using the Samsung case with one of those stick on finger holder things but gonna try the Torras first.

Stopped watching SakiTech, he had some clickbait titles that just rubbed me the wrong way.

So, have you placed your order in yet? Lol

not yet placed order

i still am sitting on the fence, maybe i am just an overly cautious consumer of a tiny spending budget

Fold keep getting thinner each year. There's even rumor that the Fold 7 will be as thin as the S24 when folded. I guess my hopes of ever seeing an integrated S-Pen in a fold are gone. 😢

So, I'm torn between the Torras S Pen case and the basic clear MagSafe case.

The Torras case is actually slimmer than the "slim" clear case, and Torras S Pen case weighs 10 grams less (33g vs 43g). However, the Torras front cover tends to lift the corners of my Spigen screen protector, whereas the clear case doesn't interfere. Both cases have equally strong MagSafe hold in the car.

Ironically, the thick TPU on the front clear case slightly gets in the way of using the fingerprint scanner and the Torras case no issues when without the S Pen. With the S Pen, the Torras still blocks the fingerprint sensor but it's not as bad as the Fold4 Torras version.

I'm not sure which case to stick with. I'm surprised the Torras is lighter, even with an S Pen. The clear case shows the phone color better and isn't as wide as the Torras S Pen case. Hmm...

Just received the combo July and Security feature update yesterday on my S23 and dropped in my Buds2 Pro's and DAMN the base response is outstanding! I'm not even using Samsung Music but I swear Spotify music playback kicked it up a notch.

Being on a call, our voice to the other party unfortunately comes through piss poor. I've had several calls to friends, banks, even government offices where I'm always told I'm on speakerphone or hard to hear. I don't have a loud nor super quite voice ... but in a room with minimal furniture in 2022-2024 headphones that have 3 microphones SHOULD be able to kill off the echo from our source to the other person - especially with the tech in them or the phone that is managing the call.

I really like the Buds2 Pro's especailly their design and small case size .. something I worry about the Buds3 Pro's.

Xiaomi released their Buds 5 pro's and man do they really look sheek and the 2.1mbps for Hi-Res audio sounds intriguing yet the codec we don't have on the S-23/S24-Z 5/6 series.

This shot is work a $1Mil dollars!

I used to think having a round watch face for a digital watch was the WORST choice as a lot of space was missing for complications. I'm VERY happy I was incorrect! I see 2 more complications on the Galaxy Watch Ultra than the Apple Watch Ultra.

Still kinda sucks there is no Watch Classic with rotating bezel to benefit from the new sensors.

I saw the blue Fold 6 and I want it lol. Looks so nice and sleek. It feels lighter than my S23u but I don't want to give up the 10x zoom.
