Was just notified that my Samsung Care+ with Theft Loss protection was activated. UPS also now has the package and it's currently in Kentucky. Package is supposed to be delivered tomorrow by 2pm. Darn, my case won't arrive until Saturday.

Sure makes you wish we could just pick them up. I'd make the drive over from Rockwall right now. Thinking since I waited around and ordered yesterday mine will likely be sometime next week.
Well, I misunderstood… it says it’s shipping from Coppell TX. But it’s actually in Louisville, KY… which is strange to me. Anyhow, I was expecting it on the 24th… what is your expected date?

Haven’t gotten the Care+ yet… planning to buy it monthly, that way I can have it over 2 years just in case I decide to keep the Fold longer.

You have to select a standard color and carrier for the free 1-year basic Care+, but I wanted the exclusive white color so had to give up the Care+ promo. Instead, I signed up for Care+ with Theft Loss protection during the pre-order for the 20% monthly discount.

That's very strange. I do not yet have a shipping date as I was late to the preorder party. Could actually still cancel but the more time that goes by the more excited I get about going back to the Fold. I skipped the 5 for the Pixel Fold so it's been a couple years. Will give it a go and if I like it send in my PF for the trade in.

I meant, your estimated delivery date (I assume the 24th)?

So, how was your experience with the Pixel Fold after these couple years with it? Any issues?

it still says est delivery date of the 24th. I imagine it will bump up from that a bit though. If not no big deal.

The Pixel Fold has been great for the most part. It has held up pretty well. Software obviously isn't as refined as Samsung's for a foldable but they both have their pros and cons. The modem and battery life have left a bit to be desired for me which is my only real complaint. Still much prefer the passport style design of the Pixel but I think the slightly increased width of the ZF6 will work just fine for me.

I agree completely! Not sure why Google abandoned this design... I really like their 1st attempt in the foldable space, I was rooting for Google with the passport style.

My guess they did some surveys and gathered some data from focus groups to realize the design wasn't what the market wanted.

Fold 5 is on the left. Yes the crease is less noticeable I agree.
Initial impressions thus far? And are you transferring everything over or starting from fresh?

I'm debating if I do a fresh install or if I use the backup I think I have one in my computer..I can always do the backup if issues reset and go fresh ..

My initial impression are that you definitely feel the weight difference between the Fold 6 and 5, but only when they're closed. The added screen real state to the front screen definitely makes it more usable than I thought it would over the Fold 5. I still can't believe that it's almost the same weight as the S24U, people are going to like that upgrade if they're planning on buying one.

Package arriving today. Went ahead and cancelled my Care+ on the Fold 4... as soon as the package arrive, I will be sending the Fold 4 off (possibly today). Get an early start on Samsung accepting my trade in.

I already transferred most of the photos, videos and wallpapers to the T7...

Boo, my UPS delivery estimate is pushed back to 330-700pm. I wonder if the Microsoft/CloudStrike outage is a factor.

Anyone saying this is just an incremental update has not been using their Fold as their daily

The Fold 6 feel, weight, response and screen are a bigger leap than previous updates imo

Muscle memory alone tells you it's significantly different
I agree. I think the front screen feels significantly different. Still wish it was a tad bit wider as texting still a bit cramped but much better than the 5 imo.
