Pleas excuse me for asking a somewhat stupid question, but seeing as this thread is about iOS 18.2B1 , how is a post about MacOS beta download size relevant?
MacRumors usually has a separate story for macOS versus iPadOS/iOS versus tvOS versus watchOS beta releases. For some odd reason there is no story for macOS 15.2 beta 1, so people wanted to let others know that it's a case of the story being missing and not the OS.

So for some reason, I downloaded 18.2 this morning on my 15 Pro Max and my iPad Pro 13 inch and submitted a request for image creation under Apple Intelligence and it still hasn’t been approved and I don’t know what to do. I’ve thought about formatting my two devices but I feel like it’s something on Apple’s end that hasn’t approved yet. Any ideas?
Unfortunately like the rest of us we have to wait. Mine says the same thing

Voice Memos - two tracks can be layered on top of one another -- only for VOICE it doesn't work with guitar
Both tracks need to be voice

For those who downloaded macOS 15.2 beta 1, the app name is different for Genmoji's and other image generation. On iOS and iPadOS, the name of the app is Playground while on macOS, the same app is called Image Playground. In both cases, you have to request early access before you can use the app.

loving the hearing aid feature too bad my job wont allow me to wear air pods pro even if it were for medical reasons.

Same problem here. We're all in the same boat.

Seems like it's a big boat.

Why only available on AI-powered devices? Do you need AI to delete core apps, use that new Safari feature, etc.?

...and so it beginsbegan. The era where LLMs are suddenly considered as reliable information sources. The black boxes we throw our problems into, in anticipation of All The Answers. The era where Apple not only fully endorses a specific LLM, but integrates it into the functionality of its core products.

Why is Apple conflating LLMs with search engines?

I'd argue that it began in about 1995 when the WWW started to go mainstream. If you'll forgive me for tweaking your comment:

I think there's a possible case of discrimination there, unless there are safety reasons why an AirPod may present a hazard that a traditional hearing aid wouldn't. At the end of the day, the APP2 is just a certain design of hearing aid in this context.

I get why an employer might not want staff looking like they're listening to music, but that alone's not going to stand up against disability discrimination legislation.

Please enlighten us to the "bugs everywhere ".

Happily typing this on iOS 18 without any bugs.
Was your comment intended to be as condescending as it sounds? 18 on iPad Pro is actually very buggy. Especially in multiple facets of stage manager and external display. Frequent resprings, keyboard shortcuts intermittent. Weird thing where certain apps will list in the open apps dock on both screens. And more.

Is there a list of which features can fully run on device and which ones will use the "cloud"?

Approximately 20 hours here for me now, i suspect this round of apple intelligence features may have generated a bit more demand than 18.1 did…
If it was just down to demand, I'd still expect some people to have had them enabled but AFAIK no one has gone live yet? I think it's more likely that Apple hasn't flicked the switch at all yet, maybe because they wanted to get the supporting beta out, but the actual feature isn't even ready yet. Just my guess though.

If the Messages app can be deleted, does that mean that Apple is now allowing 3rd party messaging apps to integrate and manage SMS and iMessage in iOS? If not, what happens if someone sends you an iMessage if you deleted the Messages app?

Absolutely nothing I ask this garbage invokes ChatGPT. Everything comes up with a google result. Yes I enabled it.
