In the European Union, users can now delete core apps that include the App Store, Safari, Messages, Camera, and Photos.
Default Apps Section
In the Settings app under "Apps," there's a new "Default Apps" section that can be used to manage your default apps for the iPhone.
There are Default App settings for Email, Messaging, Calling, Call Filtering, Browser App, Passwords and Codes, and Keyboards. In the U.S. and other countries, you can use this section to choose your preferred Email, Call Filtering, Browser, and Passwords, and Keyboard apps. In the EU, there are more options for choosing non-Apple calling and messaging apps.
It's always funny how people that have NO idea about software development like to claim things like this.
Have you seen any software these days that ships in a "final" form? NO, software is almost behaving as SaaS solutions.
Try invoking it specifically. Say “Hey Siri, ask ChatGPT…”
Granted, that feels clunky. I’d personally just rather ChatGPT supplant Siri entirely…it’s infinitely more useful.

Wait a minute, you're telling me that my 1 year old iPhone 15 pro max, that was supposed to support everything that even the base model iPhone 16 could support with Apple Intelligence can't do Visual Intelligence? WTF? I'm really starting to despise Apple and their games.

Absolutely am aware that software are ever evolving entities. My point is that this is the first iOS in a while that has not shipped with all of its main features good to go. For me it’s because Apple uses new ios releases to accentuate the differences between its upcoming phones (eg by using the new wallpapers on the new phones) therefore for this release as the AI features weren’t ready on release then they’ve delayed them.

I’ve been waiting 35 hours for my request to go through so I think everybody’s just been waiting. Hopefully Apple turns it on soon.

Curb your excitement if you're not in the US. Not only are most features not available, my phone basically got bricked.
With 18.2, my SIM card/slot don't work anymore, have to reset the phone and restore 18.0.1, but thanks to Stolen Device Protection and it not recognising my home as a familiar place, I have to sit here for an hour just to sit for at least one more hour to hope it does something. And all that because the SIM isn't working. Utterly ridiculous. I don't know what im more mad about, the beta breaking the SIM card, stolen device protection to not working as intended (its out of beta, too), the beta not even being worth it because there's little useful that's new outside the US, or me installing a beta. Now, if it messes something up during the restore process ill be sure to rant a little about that, too.
Im so happy I have the privilege right now to decide myself when im going to work, because otherwise id be f'd for the day.
The restore didn't restore to 18.0.1. Must have done something wrong, didn't NEED to restore in years.

I got an email today addressing a bug report I filled out quite a while ago, saying it’s fixed in the new version.
The bug was on Ventura and that’s also the latest macOS my Mac can run, so, you're telling me to buy a new Mac to run this update or what?
Laughable. Reminds me of that post 1 or 2 years ago in the Feedback app, promising new stuff for the bug hunting season „later this summer“.Nothing ever came of that, nothing that I got notified about or saw in the app.

Because Apple would never arbitrarily hold back a simple software feature nearly identical to one that already exists just to try to prop up sales of a lackluster hardware update right? Right?!
