One odd thing is that my iPhone 7+ has battery issues and the battery is new. My iPad doesn't have battery issues. My belief is that there's a voice/text issue with the phone spending more power trying to talk to the tower. I am running the phone on Low Power mode and that gets my battery life back to being decent. But I shouldn't need to have to do that.

I have a 7+ as well, which I set up as new under iOS 13.1, and I too am seeing worse battery life. One thing I’ve noticed is that the battery usage indicator has twice shown apps running constantly in the background that didn’t stop until said app was uninstalled. In one of the cases the app was only allowed to use location while the app was running and background refresh was disabled. That didn’t stop the app (Yelp) from running constantly for 9 hours straight until I uninstalled it.

It might be a worthwhile experiment removing Apps to see if battery performance improves. If it does, add them back in until there's a problem. I could start using my iPhone 6 again for the Apps that I need. I normally carry two phones, one for backup in case I forget the 7+; I sometimes lend it out if someone else needs a phone temporarily. The iPad Mini is working overtime as I find myself using it more due to the 7+ battery issues.

I’m still happily on 12.4 and reading these threads confirms my decision. I remember people saying in July that the beta versions were buggy as hell and there was no way they’d get it all resolved by launch. You’d think after the debacle that was iOS 11 Apple would take their medicine. They should’ve released the new iPhones with 12.4 until these problems are mostly resolved. Sorry for all those with issues. There should be a longer downgrade window for sure!

Same. I'm on iOS 12.4 on my 8+ and despite my iPhone nagging me to update, I will stay on 12 until at least another update or two from Apple on iOS 13.

Totally given up on Notes syncing between devices.
The iPhone seems the best at ‘eventually’ getting the syncs but my iPad Pro is absolutely useless...
I did some work first on the iPad Pro then went to the iPhone.. nope, not updated. Closed/reopened and it appeared.
Next, I did the opposite; did some work on the iPhone then went to the iPad Pro... nope, not updated. Closed/reopened/closed/reopened/etc/etc... nothing.
With a discrepancy between the two devices I then did some work on the iPad Pro... Opened the iPhone and again not updated, closed/reopened and it was there.
Finally, back to the iPad Pro and it’s still not showing the work I did some 20 minutes ago on the iPhone.

Verdict...... Given up!

I'm on a clean installation of Catalina and iOS 13.1.2 on my iPhone 11 Pro. I just tried creating a note on my laptop and within 60 seconds it was there along with the folder that I nested it in.

Thanks..... I need to look at this much deeper. Just tried again and the iPad Pro 12.9 2018 model still has not captured the sync from well over 2 hours past.

I would just like to see the bluetooth problem fixed. I had to return my iphone 11 pro because of the bluetooth problems that I did not have with the iphone 6.

FWIW, which isn't much, that's about the one problem I haven't had yet with iOS 13. One of the crazy-making things about 13 is the incredible inconsistency of issues reported. You'd think with a single hardware vendor and a single OS vendor, at least the bugs and defects would be a little more consistent.

Yup, unless you have the latest iPhones (which is shipped with iOS13), I don't feel the rush to upgrade to iOS13. The only iDevice I upgraded was my iPad Pro since I thought 13.1.2 would be alright, but no, plenty of annoying bugs.

iOS11 is still worse though, but I thought Apple learned a thing or two, especially with the awesome iOS12.

That’s what I thought as well. 11 was awful but I don’t think I had as many issues as I’ve had with 13. Even my Apple Tv 4K did not escape. It was a simple fix but shouldn’t have been necessary.

There were a few point releases of 12 that fouled things up, but they were fixed quickly and completely and by 12.3 or so it was rock solid.

The one main thing I’ve found with iOS 13 is that is requires daily device restarts to work “properly”. Things that work fine initially just start having issues, the longer it’s been since a restart. This includes things like syncing.

I’m pretty sure there are memory leaks in iOS 13 as my iPad Air 2 starts getting sluggish if I go more than about 48 hours without restarting. Under iOS 12.4.1, I could go months without restarting.

I definitely will agree 100% with that.... Prior to iOS 13 all my devices would happily run trouble free for weeks on end. iOS 13 on the other hand has led me to performing reboot after reboot just to get a simple App to work. The watch App on the phone being a classic one: Apps installed and running on the watch but when you check the watch app on the phone you notice the spinning install icon is there as if it is still trying to install. There’s just so many inconsistencies but the Notes App is my number one gripe.

My 8+ forced me into 11 and obviously that was rough at the start, much like what folks are experiencing with 13. I wish Apple would send new hardware with the previous OS when a new one is recently announced allowing users to upgrade when they are comfortable doing so. It just seems like we should have that option when purchasing a new device. Staying on 12.4.1 here until 13 smooths out.

Shipping new hardware with the old OS wouldn't make sense. How would the new hardware features be supported?

The point is then the user could upgrade when they wanted to--even if that meant the day you received it. Personally I'd rather have stability at the sacrifice of new features immediately if it meant waiting until a stable version. I tend to think I'm not alone in that aspect.

Don't get me wrong, Apple has been busy releasing updates since 13 and I applaud them for that but 13 is clearly not the most stable iOS release.

We all remember the dramas with IOS 11, and how Apple focused IOS 12 on fixing the bugs more than bringing out new features, so makes you think what's happening at Apple, surely they not that behind to release IOS 13 with so many issues, personally I think it's worst than IOS 11, that was over 3 yrs ago surely after all the beta testing they did on IOS 13, you would think they would of released a more stable GM version to the public, especially at a time when the competition is starting to exceed Apple, don't know if there has been a change in personnel in Apple but this past year hasnt been the best,, with security flaws been found in Apples software, to now IOS 13, and we are on IOS 13.1.2, and still issues exist and from what I'm reading there are still there on IOS 13.2 beta 2 version, what is going on Apple.

I think it's about as buggy as 11 was. However, iOS11 was really slow. iOS13 is reasonably fast even on a9 devices
