Has anyone noticed a panel lottery with the SE 2022? I’m going to grab one to try before they refresh it soon, but I didn’t know if some configs/colors had better panels than others or if they are all the same?

As someone who’s sensitive to even differences in color accuracy mainly due to being a display enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised when I replaced my iPhone SE and the display on the new unit was virtually identical.

From what I’ve read, only one manufacturer provides panels for the current iPhone SE.

Here's a little feedback again.
I've had the iPhone 16 Plus for several months now,
and I can still use it without any problems. It's just a great iPhone.
I'm still glad that I was able to switch and no longer have to use the iPhone SE 2022.
I feel like I've switched from a bicycle to a Ferrari.

I am on 12 pro max. i don't feel headache but when i use screen longer time or mostly by evening hours or end of the day i get some light eyes strain.
I want an upgrade since i am on this phone since 4 years now, Considering 15 plus or 15 pro max ( I dont need the greatest tech that pro max offers over the plus. My only concern is 120 HZ v 60 HZ
My two questions are :
i) am i going to see notable advantage of display on pro max compared to plus ?
ii) Will 15 plus be same as my current device or going to be better than it (12 pro max)

(Please dont suggest me 16 series phones as i shortlisted 15 plus/ pro max for my needs)

Q1 -If you begin using the 120hz display of the 15 PM, you will likely notice a difference initially, and when using a 60hz phone afterwards (but how likely is that)? If you move from your 12PM to the 15 Plus, you won't notice a difference (and won't realize you're missing out on 120hz either). I noticed the smoothness of 120hz at first when moving from my 11 to the 15PM but now, it's just like anything else that I get used to. Personally, I could go back to a 60hz phone and be fine. Others will tell you they wouldn't.

Q2 - Advantages of the 15 Plus over your 12 PM would be better battery life, an improved camera system, USB-C instead of Lightning, 25 grams lighter, slightly faster processing.

Can you check if you have Samsung or lg panel ?

No idea how to do that. I only have a Mac and no PC.
Can I read it from the iPhone 16 Plus without any effort? Then I would do it.

I can't remember, did you try the regular size 16 and it bothered you, and then the plus didn't? Do I have that correct?

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last wrote, although I always read your posts. A year ago I bought an iQOO z8 for about €250. Everything was perfect: LCD screen, good battery, very good camera, fast, no complaints. Recently, I stopped reading reviews because, to be honest, not being able to use top of the range phones is a bit of a pain 😂 Today I read that they're going to release the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, 7500 mAh, top of the range processor (but OLED screen), I've already read that they're going to release the iPhone SE 4 next week, and I see your comments that everything is still almost the same and 😔 After so many years that the situation is still like this...

What are the odds that the new iPhone SE/16E has the gentlest PWM implementation yet?

Low, probably, but Apple has to know that a subset of users are stuck with iPhone SE since it is currently the only device with a PWM-free LCD panel.

If Apple cared about that subset of users they would have kept the LCD panel. It has been 7+ years and counting without Apple so much as even attempting to address the issue.

Our only hope is that apple will switch to mini led. I’m PWM sensitive, but I use mini led TV just fine.

Also to those who is knowing about PWM sensitivity but continue to use OLED phones.

It may hurt your eyes in long run. Avoid that technology.

Wow, ok. So the single-stripe mode should be available on the HONOR Magic7 Pro. Has anyone had a go on this model?
Yes, whilst better than the Magic6 Pro I had tried previously, there was still something my eyes/brain did not agree with, so sent it back. Having had my iPhone 8 crippled by having to update to iOS 16 for a banking app I use (so the issue isn’t solely OLED, Apple software is also an issue) I am currently using a Moto G75 and the screen is lovely, no issues whatsoever, it’s how screens should be.

I'd never heard of the G75 until you just mentioned it.

I appreciate its not a premium phone but it seems crazy cheap, whats the catch? (other than it not being an iphone)

....Update......
Done a bit of reading and youtube watching, it looks great. Only thing I see as a grey area is whether it supports google pay. I am so used to not carrying a wallet and money nowadays.

The 16E is a Super Retina XRD Display and my iPad is an Ultra Retina XDR display and doesn't give me a headache. So I'll give this 16E a shot!! Nothing to lose!!!

Do you suffer eye strain and headaches using OLED displays, whether it be phones, tablets or computers?
