So, as I see it from my research - the best bet in the Android space is down to two LCD phones (build, screen, reasonable processor and ram, stereo speakers, software updates) :-

Galaxy XCover7 Pro

Motorola G75

Am I missing any other options?

If software updates are important scratch Motorola from your short list!

Be aware the Moto camera is truly abysmal. It’s the biggest problem I have with the Razr.

I came up with a similar choice but good to hear from those in the know.

The problem I have now is finding anyone who has used these phones and is in a good place.

There is very little chat about the Galaxy XCover7 Pro, likely because it is an enterprise device.

The Moto G75 has equal negative and positive comments. Currently, Amazon UK doesn't have stock of the Black model until the end of the month (sold by them directly as I need a solid returns option).

The Oppo A5 Pro doesn't appear to be available from a big box retailer in the UK with a safe returns policy.

At this point I'm considering a G75 order and should this fail, I'll try the Samsung. The Samsung spec looks a little stronger with the newer processor, but more expensive at £503. The Moto, should it work for me, could be nicely paired with the new Legion 8" gen 4 tablet and then a Thinkpad down the line.....🤞

I appreciate it’s a very personal thing re what affects someone, but for reference I haven’t been able to use any OLED phone (not just Apple, I have even tried various Honor ones), plus whatever Apple did with iOS 16 meant I was unable to use even a previously fine iPhone 8. I have however been using the Moto G75 without issue for a few months now.

Disappointed to hear about the new MacBooks. I was thinking about picking one up. Various iPhones give me problems. I believe it was the iPhone 12 Pro Max that introduced me to PWM. iPhone 13,14,15s was fine. iPhone 16 is by far the worst for me. I felt sick immediate after opening it up.

guys see the image below if I look at it for a few seconds and look away I get an image on the wall for a flash of a second but reverse ( as in a white text ) of the word show….
You're experiencing visual image retention. It comes with age for everyone eventually. Its not caused by iPhone usage.
