A strange thing has occurred
A few weeks ago, I decided to try the new Moto Razr 60. It supports Moto's usual Flicker Reduction setting.
The screen worked well. I didn't experience any significant discomfort. My eyes felt a bit tired after a while, but I was also using it a bit initially.
So, overall, I would say that this screen would work for some sensitive people (it's a LTPO screen, so you can't set the refresh rate to a fixed number).
Then, a week ago, I decided to try the 16e. It was on special, and with some gift cards, I was able to get it at a really good price. Also, even after using Moto's fairly straightforward Android UI, I still preferred iOS, and its smoothness.
I used it not too much initially. I didn't experience significant discomfort either. A bit of eye pressure, after using it for a while in one continuous go. But I still dual phoning with the Razr.
Over the last few days, I've used only the 16e. It works. It doesn't give me significant issues. I am using it with default settings, and a matte screen protector.
I also haven't been well for the past week or two, so it may be that it would cause some discomfort, but I didn't put two and two together. I'm on the up though, so I should soon have a period of time where I'm not sick, to see if anything sticks out.
Let's see where the next few weeks take me.
