Other Face ID is Actually Better a Than Touch ID

After using Face ID for a full day, Face ID is indeed better. unlocking the is much more natural than Touch ID ever was. LOL, I find it amusing (in a good way) that it won't unlock when I don't have my glasses off. Apple pay is a lot better, but I have to get used to pressing the side button twice to use apple pay.

I can say that I can't see myself going back to touch ID on the iPhone again.

I have mild insomnia and frequently listen to podcasts in bed. I’ll wake to realize I finished one and want to start another. Touch ID allows me to unlock the thing and select another podcast without fully taking my head off the pillow. It seems to me that Face ID would require a little more conscious effort.

Similarly, I sleep with my iPhone face down on the nightstand. When I wake up during the night, I tilt it with my thumb in the home button to see the time. Then I put it back down.

Will raise to wake get me this or will I have to lift the phone differently. Not that I can’t find out in 6 days or so.

Raise to wake will do that.

Also, recommend you get an adjustable angled phone stand so that you can tap to wake, without needing to lift the phone (& maybe risk dropping it in your drowsy state)

The stand also allows you to easily tap the Snooze or Stop buttons for your alarms.

I've had a stand for a while, but I'm thinking of upgrading it to a wireless charger type, so the phone's always fresh in the morning.

jailbroken iPX with FastUnlock = awesome. its faster and i like that i don't have to swipe up to unlock once faceID recognizes my face.
