Facebook 3.0 is here!

Do not update with the latest Facebook app for a 3G phone. I did it today on the phone & it froze after I had downloaded it. I did a hard restart & the phone wouldn't then turn on. I went to the Apple shop in Regents Street & another chap was there & he had the same problem

Apple were fantastic & replaced both phones.

Just seems too much of a coincidence that were both there at the same time for the same reason??

sounds like a once in a lifetime thing and i highly doubt it had to do with FACEBOOK. i'm pretty sure it could have happened with any app
 
The only way to get 3.01 right now is to delete the app, and re-download. It will take some time for Apple to actually push out the update, and show up as an available update.
 
3.0.1 only contained bug fixes, such as fixing crashes, birthdays and timestamps. New features won't be out until 3.1, with push notifications.
 
Is anyone else getting from "Facebook user" comments?
Some comments are showing up as "Facebook user". These contacts are not on my friends list. This has only started happening in 3.0

Also, there really is no where to see someone's status including my own is there? Please put this essential feature back Joe.

I agree. The status needs to come back at the top of the profile page, next to the username.

I think this is a security thing or a glitch. There is a status updates option on the radio menu where the news feed is, if that helps.
 
Loving the new fb app, struggling to find glitches now with 3.01.

When looking at News Feed you can click on the button in the top right that says 'News Feed' to see Pages, Links, Video, Gifts, Status Updates among others. Took me a while to discover this! It would be nice though to add some of these as short cuts to the home screen of the app like you can with friends. I would love to have Status Updates next to News Feed for example! Just seems like too many clicks to access.

For some reason 3.01 has screwed up Birthdays for me which all seem to be wrong now. They were fine in 3.0.

Definately agree that status needs to show up the top with user name as it did pre-3.0.

I have also noticed the 'Facebook user' thing with comments, and sometimes when people 'Like' things it doesn't give their name, just 1 person likes this.

Strange behavior. When I get a "Facebook User" comment, I also get the picture icon. However, tapping the Facebook User link gives me the user's name, but no picture icon.
