Facebook 3.0 is here!

Another thing that I noticed is that if you update your status (whether via the app or the web), you don't have a way to clear your status. Or am I missing something?

Uploading via the camera button on my profile.

They are only 23 sec clips taken by my 3gs the status bar completes then returns to my profile but no video :(

It takes a while for them to appear on your profile from my experience. Maybe they get reencoded on the fb servers or something. Check again later.
 
Notifications

Is anyone else having problems with the notifications not working? When I tap on the notifications bar, I get an error. I've logged out and back in, deleted and reinstalled, rebooted, etc. Any thoughts?

You need to go into the notification settings on the web version and clear your notifications then log out...works great now.

Any idea on how I can get videos to upload...they are not showing :-(

We seem to be opposites. I had no problem getting a video uploaded, but my notifications still aren't working... weird. :confused:

Has anyone else noticed that the new update seems to drain the iPhone's battery pretty darn quickly?
 
Definite props to the developer(s)! I love the new overhaul. It still leaves room for improvement, but it's great. Of course, push would be nice. I don't want sounds; just a badge change. :)

i have a jailbroken iphone 3gs when i put facebook in the background with (backgrounder) i can see the badge actually update by itself...i just received a comment on my update status and the red badge came with a number 1...i usually rely on my mobile me account when something happens in my fb account i get notify by email...but now with facebook in the background i get the facebook badge first then my email from mobile me...maybe 5 second delay between each other ....then i tried again added a friend she accept it and i got notify by the badge of the fb app first, 5 sec later i get the push email...
anyone else have seen that or its only me?
 
I facebook freakishly often (I get 3 "breaks" at work and have the time to kill), and the new fb app is great!

I've had no problems yet with anything! :)

I agree.

Having Badges would be great!

Of course, if they do the notifications like every other app just about has, you will be able to turn off the sound and pop up box and just get the badge.

I've accepted people(not being 100% who they were, but felt the name was someone I knew) who I then needed to remove....its a useful features. Not a deal breaker, but something I hope to see if the future.
 
Now that the Facebook update has been released...

When in the world will MySpace give us an update?!
We all know how many things it needs. Especially the ability to see every type of notifications such as picture comments and status comments or just comments in general! Push would be amazing but facebook didn't even give us that so I don't expect MySpace to. I just want to see some effort to make the MySpace app much better for us.
 
Myspace is a dinosaur! Facebook is doing a good job at trying to emulate the pathetic crap that Myspace has become!

Twitter is the shiznizzle! For now anyway.
 
Well everyone I know still uses MySpace mainly. On the computer it's great but the MySpace app is just unacceptable. There's so many things that need to be fixed and added. I feel like facebook focuses more on wall posts and status updates, while MySpace focuses on messaging, comments, status updates, music, and you can have your own unique profile unlike anyone elses to describe yourself. There's no reason the app shouldn't be updated. It could be so great. They could at least give us some info on when it may be updated. So I'm really hoping that may happen soon.
