I've had my S6 Edge for two months now. I don't have any of the lag issues you're talking about. I just checked to make sure, I tested the scrolling in several apps: Chrome, Inbox, Google Plus, Play Store, and Reddit. No lag issues.

So, is the conclusion that my phone is defective then?
Is there any chance you can pop to a store and try out a model and load up the playstore and see if its the same on the other S6 Edge. If it is, then it's just a 'thing'. If it isn't then you could at least raise the concern with the store staff and see what they say
Yes, I can go the store where I purchased it from and test how the other models there compare. I think I'll do that.
Curious if you have a screen protector that went edge to edge. When I had the S6 Edge, my lag was due to the screen protector and my touches not registering. I would have to press on it harder than normal.
Opposite for me. My Moto X Pure Edition runs smooth as a babies bottom and in conjunction with my Moto 360 and BT connections with my cars and headset. My iPhone 6 on the other hand loves to stutter, FC apps and reload webpages thanks to its anemic 1GB of RAM and RAM management system. (Contrast that to my iPad Air 2 which has none of those issues!)My regular s6 lags and every android expect pure android has lagged. In all my years the only fix is a daily restart, you simply cannot not go for days without the device slowing down. This is where the iPhone shines you can go weeks and months without a restart and still maintain lag free. Problem is android will not authorize any app to do automatic/scheduled restarts only reboots which is not the same thing. If you get in the habit of daily restarts you will enjoy the device much more it's just that way with android.
I have been considering picking up a G4 and dropping my s6 butWell it's strange to know that my LG G4 seems to be better than the S6 at one thing, at least!
I have seriously been considering picking up an S6 edge again to replace my G4.
I did say except "pure android" but again if I restart my s6 daily it flies. I guess I'm just trying to say most android and maybe iphones need a daily restart . Thing is no app that exists that will do this on a schedule.Opposite for me. When it comes to phones, iOS and iPhones simply aren't worth it anymore when compared to a phone like the Moto X and its Pure Android UI. Samsung on the other hand... I wouldn't buy anything with Touchwiz or Tizen.

Try Gaugerer's suggestion. My S6 Edge is free of carrier bloatware since carriers here don't add bloatware to devices. And as for manufacturer bloatware, I disabled the ones I know I won't use when I first got the phone.
Yeah you have to be careful when just using the auto-mode on package disabler.I bought it off contract, there's no carrier junk on the phone. Tried Gaugerer's suggestion last night but it didn't improve the Play Store performance and now the phone is acting really wonky after having clicked on "remove bloatware". It seems doing it that way removes functions that mess with the stability of the OS. I'm going to reset the whole thing again and try anew.
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.
I think Smart Manager is under the bloatware option but this disable the Battery Usage screen so probably one to keep live.I bought it off contract, there's no carrier junk on the phone. Okay, my friend - who bought herself a Galaxy S6 a couple days ago - visited me and we compared the performance on each. I'm really shocked at how horribly my S6 Edge performs. This is absolutely unacceptable. While this is the biggest disappointment, the Clear View case by Samsung, not even a week old, no longer works either. I'm returning both tomorrow and want my money back or a replacement for both items.
Where you get it from? I would give a new unit another go if it's still bad I would try and get a full refund and get a different deviceOkay, my friend - who bought herself a Galaxy S6 a couple days ago - visited me and we compared the performance on each. Let us know how you get on and whether they refund you.

They have to. It's almost €700 I paid for a defective device. There's a 14-day return policy. I'm also OK with getting a replacement but I definitely accept any offer towards having it send off to repair. Wish me luck!
Went to the store. They're not taking it back. Argument? Works well enough for them. Lag is not a Samsung issue but an Android or Google Play Store app issue thus they won't refund or exchange.
I'm so loaded right now...
That's so disappointing
Ring Samsung and see if they can help you? I thought the 14 day change of mind policy would apply.
