Went to the store. They're not taking it back. Argument? Works well enough for them. Lag is not a Samsung issue but an Android or Google Play Store app issue thus they won't refund or exchange.

I'm so loaded right now...
Don't stand for that

thats complete bull. Demand a full refund straight away and get the guy who said that and make a a complaint

You guys (girls?) are fantastic support. The retail people could learn a thing or two from you.

Anyhow, I went there with broad shoulders and said I am not satisfied with the phone, hence want a full refund, period. I also added that it states on their website that a full refund is guaranteed within a 14-day period.

Anyhow, got my refund, went to another store and bought the same phone there. And guess what, now I'm actually contemplating on getting the gold platinum instead... I stood there for a while and eyed it. I feel this is the best looking phone of the lot, even nicer than the emerald green. But they didn't have it in the 32GB or 64GB version and I wanted to make the purchase immediately.

Hmmm... I might ring them up and ask them to order one of the gold platinum ones and leave this one intact for the time being.

Great stuff. That's the colour version I have :)

Amazing though that you had to do what you did, I can imagine others given same incorrect information in store would have just given up and settled on imperfection.

Congrats and hope you get the one you want.

I've unboxed my phone. For whatever reason I think the green is the most elegant and works really well for me, so I'm keeping it. The main info pertaining to this thread, however, is that this phone does not lag at all. Everything works as it should. Thank goodness! The previous device was a lemon. They don't even compare in terms of performance. I'm glad I didn't settle for less.

Good to see you got a replacement.

Not sure if you have another Clear Case, and if you are aware of the scratching it can cause. If not, take a look here and see what they can do.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...s/samsung-view-case-scratched-screen-t3107467

I didn't know about this until the other day and was pretty shocked at the state some of the phones were in.

Tell me about it! That's the exact case I bought the first time around. And, low and behold, my device had scratches all over. Tiny ones that you couldn't see without holding it to a light, but there was one little scratch that was very visible. Upon the retail person inspecting the device, he told me he saw scratches, cleaned it up with some spray cleaner, but he could all but confirm that those were indeed scratches. Luckily, I had done my research just a few days ago and told him that Samsung had released a statement regarding the issue. He looked it up and accepted my explanation and all was good.

I bought a simple Samsung case now, just for the back for now as stores here generally don't feature all that many useful third-party options. I've been scouring the web (Etsy in particular) on the hunt for a nice case for the phone.

Glad you got a replacement, sartrekid! Mine is the green emerald as well (International Version, Unlocked).

I had my S6 Edge for 3 months but purchased cases for it only yesterday. Opted for a Verus case in Green Emerald to match my device. And also a case from OBLIQ.

That Obliq case looks great. The first one also looks good except I'm not sure I like the grey bottom. I'll definitely order the Obliq one. Thanks for posting your cases!

What GB did you get?

I went with the 32GB version.

As I categorically buy off-contract my reasons for going with the base model were:

a) Short longevity of the AMOLED technology
b) First time Samsung user
c) Resale value
d) Reported general decrease in performance after a while
e) Bad battery life cycle

Given that this is my first Samsung device, the above points were the concerns I had, thus I wanted to be cautious and see how well I liked it before going "all in". So far, I truly enjoy using the phone. It's easily the best smartphone experience I've had so far, next to the iPhone 3GS which was probably my all-time favorite device. The others I currently own are the iPhone 4S, Xperia Ultra Z and Nokia Lumia. Next on my list will be the iPhone 6S Plus. I'll probably go with more storage for that one.

Well, I can't believe my luck. Yesterday, the Edge's mic simply stopped working. I could hear people on the phone but they couldn't hear me. Same with Google Now. The device no longer recognized voice input. I went back to the store, this time they didn't argue and instantly replaced the phone yet again. So, I'm on my third S6 Edge in just over two weeks.

I haven't unboxed my new device. I almost don't dare... Geesh. I do hope I'm not in for yet another surprise.

Jeez your going to give Spinedoc a run for his money and his nearly dozen Note 4 exchanges !! :(

I have a s6 edge plus and the scrolling is fine, apart from the application manager page? Best I've ever had on a droid device.

Good for you!

Unfortunately, this third device now has a burnt-in yellow screen. Not all of it, just two thirds of the screen are yellow.
I've not had luck with my Samsung devices. I realise that it's bad luck, however, but I do admit that it's pretty frustrating. I've long decided to not have it replaced. I'm just really tired of the hassle, so will settle with my defect screen. Everything else works beautifully, still no lag to this day. But it's disappointing that Samsung's most significant feature (the screen for me) has decided to crap out like this.

With all that said and done, I'm still contemplating whether or not my next phone will be the Nexus 6P or the Samsung S7 Edge. I am now completely hooked on OLED screens, so I do want my next phone to have that screen technology, all risks considered.
