All changes to the design they've been doing in last 5 years is switch camera position from vertical to landscape and vice versa

Any chance we'll see the reintroduction of the technology to integrate cameras INTO the phone as opposed to sticking out like a wart?

I mean, come on! Can't even tap at my phone while it's flat on a surface without the damned thing wobbling. No I don't use a case. No I don't think it's a viable solution to the wobble.
You no fan of wobble?

yeah, this is strange, IF the module edge is metal and close to the corner, there might be issues. i.e. when you drop and bend that corner a little, it could f*ck up the camera module..

Never owned an iPhone X and XS but I'm thinking they may use the pill shape design but with the flash separate like in some renders...
The iPhone X and XS camera lenses were oriented vertically as well, looking very much like the mockup for the 16 in this article, but their flash was inbetween the two lenses, not to the side as in this mockup.

What i don't understand about this return to vertically-oriented camera lenses to allow you to take 3D photos and videos in landscape mode, is why the two lenses that will be used for this are so close together, much closer than human eyes--this would seem to reduce the 3D effect.
