in my general experience, matte glass builds up fingerprints more slowly but is also harder to clean.

I'm a nano texture Studio Display owner and even though I rarely finger the screen I use a different cleaning technique to the glossy displays on my MacBooks. On glossy I push skin grease to towards the edges. On the nano I do circular sweeps first to remove dirt within the texture and then finish with long swipe from edge to edge.

Of course, I try not to let them get grimy in the first place because Apple products are divine objects from the heavens above that should be kept clean like a golden buddha.

I’m on the fence buying a discounted iPad Pro 1 To 11’ with the nano texture display. Even with 30% less, the price is still very high since I need the Magic Keyboard and the Pencil/
I don’t need so much storage, but find the glare on my current iPad annoying on sunny days and would like to use my iPad on my terrace.
I’m worried about how the nano display holds in the long run (scratches, cleaning, Magic Keyboard leaving a line on the screen)

To the owners of this iPad Pad Pro « Nano », would you still recommend this purchase ? Is it still worth compare to the non-nano iPad Pro ? Thanks

After daily use since May, including having it knocked around in my bag, using it with the Apple Pencil, and using both the Smart Folio and Magic Keyboard, it's still pristine. Any marks are easily removed with the polishing cloth. A few drops of Alcohol on the polishing cloth can be used for any liquid or hard-to-remove stains on the display.

I'd not use alcohol.. just use water

No regrets. Love the nano display. To not have reflections anymore is just amazing.
Because of the nano I also changed the tv in my living room from a glossy oled to the matte Samsung oled s95d.

I had the matt screen on my iPad and now on my MBP I far prefer it. I would not go back if I had to choice again at the moment.

I love the nano-textured screen of the iPad Pro.

That said, I am old enough to remember when laptops all came with matte screens (of course, usually not glass, but nevertheless). It has been so long, I cannot remember if those matte screens were just as effective as the nano-texture glass of the iPad Pro in terms of reflection deflection. Of course, the resolution was definitely not as good, but I don't think that's a function of the matte screen, but rather a function of other display technology back then.

Not that it counts for too much but a guy at work today was using his nano display outside in the sun. He was showing me what it’s like.

Incredible. Game changer. It’s SO much better outside! I regularly use my iPad or MBA outside, it’s not easy, but nano display makes it far better.

I could see everything on his screen so clearly and easily.

For OP, you viewed it in a store. Surely the barometer is outside 😂

For what it’s worth I just purchased an 11” nano as I was craving a downsize from my 13” and it seemed the next iPP was months away. We have floor to ceiling windows with due west light and it’s a game changer for not needing to think about angles

Sorry, no time to read through eight pages. Need a new 13 inch tablet to replace my 3rd gen iPad Pro. It’s terrible in sunlight and as a performing musician who plays outdoors I need something that is more visible. The iPad Pro with the nano is only available on the 2K plus models then the lowest price $1200 iPad Pro does have the new display. Then for 700 bucks you can get the 13 inch air, which might be worth looking at.?

My Microcenter did not have any iPads with the Nano display, but they had two monitors, one with, one without. I put the same pic on each and the Nano was definitely worse as far as colors and brightness. I'll stick with reflective glass.
