For those who ordered the ATI 4850....

Ordered 3.06, 1TB, 4GB, 4850, wireless keyboard on Mar 18th.
Ships: Apr 22
Delivery: Apr 28
Delivery Status: Not yet shipped
Location: Raleigh, NC

I called Apple a two days ago and got upgraded to overnight but no money off the price of my iMac. I talked to Kelly.
Ships: Apr 22
Deliver: Apr 23

I also called about 2 weeks ago to change my order to a num keyboard instead of the wireless. The Apple girl said should would have to cancel my order to change the keyboards and this would put me back in the waiting list. Bummer. She put me on hold and came back and said they'll ship a num keyboard for FREE! Cool, and I still get a wireless keyboard as well. Other than the long wait I'm very pleased with Apple's call center.

Ok I went through this thread and no doubt missed alot of people, but the list below is who I see that has ordered in March and has not had their status changed from Not Shipped Yet to Prepared for shipping or Shipped. I only listed people I think are located in the USA. So if you are in the list and not from USA, let us know. This is just a status check for outstanding orders of any speed Ghz iMac as long as they have a 4850 option.

If you are not located in the USA your name was not put on this list. Reason: I think there is more delay in the USA than anywhere else.

It's Arrived!

Ok, so I ordered in the UK on the 4th March, it was shipped on the 13th and arrived yesterday (the 15th).
It went on an impressive journey, tracking from China through Korea, Poland, Germany and then on the the UK. Impressive though as it did all of that and was delivered to the door within 48Hrs of shipping.
I cant believe how big it is though, and fast! Its a huge step up from my 12" iBook G4, so am very happy.
Hope everyone gets theirs soon!
 
Li'l update: sometime in the past two hours, my status changed to "prepared for shipment," though the dates are still ship 4/20, deliver 4/24. Things are looking up. I'll keep you posted.
 
Here I sit broken hearted....

Canada. Ordered a 3.06 4GB w/4850 on Mar 3 then changed my keyboard and mouse to wireless on Mar 10 and am getting more frustrated by the day as others who ordered after me are getting theirs. Called Apple last week told its because the 4850 blah blah blah. Whatever. Called again 2 days ago - no help whatsoever then called yesterday and talked to Gino who at least offered me a iPod shuffle to ease the pain. Then I receive an e-mail from Apple asking me how I like the customer service and they would like a phone number where they can call me to follow-up. I replied to that and haven't back from them. Today, my iMAc is still "not yet shipped" but....and here's the kicker the iPod is "prepared for shipment".

I have a macbook. And I don't think windows is crap...and i don't think mac osx is crap either. Only difference is i'm not biased and call things how i see it.

Consoles, on the other hand, have to work with TVs (both new HDTVs and old CRTs). Of course they a programmed for 30FPS because a normal TV can't display a faster refresh rate (hence the vertical bars you see on TVs captured on film).

it's not impossible to get a constant 30+ fps. On crysis my fps varies between 30 and 40fps and it is fine.

My iMac just got listed as shipped about ten minutes ago, it'll be arriving tomorrow afternoon.

Order Date: March 3rd (Order changed slightly 4/7)
Ship: April 16
Arrive: April 17 (unless fedex loses it, which knowing my luck...)
 
....and...my new (first) iMac....IS HERE :) :) Arrived today (ordered on March, 5th). 2 days of delay due to some China's issues (holidays or something like that).

Just a problem: they send me a wrong keyboard (I ordered a wireless keyboard with num pad...they send the short one). I think Apple will change it without any charge..

Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I've been using Windows since 3.1.1 and Windows for Workgroups, so I'll reserve my own opinion on the subject.

Same here, but for a funny reason.

When I placed my order on 3-March (in the USA, via the USA Apple web store) I kept the default keyboard choice -- not realizing it was the short version which I didn't want. On 4-March when I discovered that the default keyboard is short, I called up apple and asked to switch the order to a wide keyboard. That was done no problem -- except it turns out that the phone agent inadvertently selected the Spanish version of the wide keyboard.

The unit arrived on 10-April and I discovered the wrong country keyboard. I finally called Apple today about it, and they looked up the history and realized it was an Apple-agent transaction error. Thus they are shipping me a free English keyboard via overnight. That's nice!

Ops...well..this is really my fault :p

Well...anyway....I think that the Apple tech support should have told me about this, instead of tell me that they are going to send me a WIRELESS keyboard WITH numpad! :eek:

So, I finally got my iMac, it's my first mac ever! Everything works fine so far.
I am literally like a kid playing with new toy right now. :D

Turns out Fedex sent my package to the concierge directly without buzz me.
Quite surprised to see a pick-up-package note on my mailbox today.

The iMac has Cometh!

I'm in the UK ordered 4th March and was delivered today. Specs as per signaure :D

(It was shipped on 09/04 and estimated delivery on 29/04, but was told by Apple that it should be here before 20/04)

Realised that the wireless keyboard does not have have a number keypad, a lil gutted and will ring Apple to see what they can do.

Agree with Fabio the sales guy should have mentioned that the wireless keyboard does not have a number keypad.

Oh Well Bring on the Mac world!!! :cool:
 
UK ordered 3rd Mar, arrived today 16th Apr, no dead pixels, just beautiful.
24" iMac: 3.06GHz/4GB SDRAM/1TB/ATI Radeon HD 4850 keyboard with numeric keypad and wireless mouse

Hope everyone's as happy as I am. :)

Sorry :( but the wireless option does not come in num pad. I wish it did.
 
I just checked my ordering status and was surprised to find it changed from Not Yet Shipped to " Ships 4 to 6 Business days and Delivers 4/23 to 4/27. I ordered overnight shipping so I hope it is shipped by 4/23 so I can get it 4/24.

Has anyone else's status changed? Let me know and I will update my list.

Finally I seen a change in my status. Cool. :D

Dude. DUDE. Dude. I'm kinda freaking out now. Mine did too.

"Ships: 4 - 6 business days
Delivers: Apr 24 - Apr 28"

Ordered March 29th as you know. :) It better be here by next Friday.. I think I will call tomorrow and see if they can upgrade me to overnight shipping for free. I'd rather not pay for it.
 
Status change

My status just changed on my 24" 4850 order.

Went from:

Not Yet Shipped
Ships: April 27
Delivers: April 28

to

Not Yet Shipped
Ships: 4 - 6 business days
Delivers: Apr 23 - Apr 27


But with the lock up reports...is this good?

It is 8:30 AM in China where these are built. Evidently they are updating orders this morning (tomorrow morning my time).
