Looks like you can BTO the 14" to the 512b M4 Max, so there's one model missing here. Here are my predictions:

Dunno - online I've seen people say it's the MacBook Pro, obviously in my previous list the specific identifiers are less important than moving the Airs into the Mac16's and making the Mac17's Studio desktops. We should know for sure once Apple updates their identify your MacBook Pro model webpage and similar pages for the other devices announced this week. However, we know my list is wrong because, like the others, I didn't account for the multiple models of Maxes for different bandwidths. Something I should've thought of since the 15th generation did the same thing. Both Mac16,7 and Mac16,11 has M4 Pro. Which one is MacBook Pro and which one is Mac mini?

Interesting I like it. It's better than mine - especially since I hadn't previously caught that in the 15th generation Apple had split the Max MacBook Pro models up by bandwidth giving the Pro/Max 14" and 16" 3 models each (with the 14" getting an additional 4th model for the base M4). However, this raises a problem. You've didn't give the 14" the 512b model, but Apple is definitely selling the 14" with the full memory bandwidth. Not sure how to resolve that ... unless Mac16,4 actually does exist! 🤷♂️ I wonder why 4 was skipped? Here are my predictions:

Huh ... I typed all this before realizing there was another page of replies and that @mr_roboto had already pointed this out! Oh well I'm not deleting it!
As for the Mac17's ... you don't think the Studio will get the Max? Hmmm ... I think it probably will. If an Extreme exists it may only go into the Mac Pro and in fact I think Gurman sort of says that - although he isn't clear* if the Ultra is made from two Maxes or if the Ultra is a single Hidra die, two of which make an Extreme (or if the Ultra is 2 Hidra die, 2 Ultras still make an Extreme, etc ...).
*It's possible he is and I've simply forgotten.
The only other solution is that there is another unreleased Mac model we don't know about yet.
I’ve done a bit of a dive into firmware stuff which should add clarity (I was wrong and for weird reasons). I’ll probably first post my findings at the other place tomorrow.Okay here's a really weird prediction ... based on thinking, yeah the Studio would get the Max chip ...

Mac16,13 Mac Studio M4 Max (512b) (spring/summer) - M2 Max only had one model number which referred to both Maxes because of course there was no binning by bandwidth (or CPU count) in the M2 Max. So I am positing that only the high end Max goes into the Studio.

I don't love this as the Mac Studio M4 would be sold as the last Studio version along side the M5 Studio released roughly in the same time period. That doesn't feel very satisfying. The only other solution is that there is another unreleased Mac model we don't know about yet. It can't be an iMac with M4 Pro, an M4 Pro SOC designed like the M3 Pro might've fit, but the actual M4 Pro? Nah, I don't see it. Too hot. I dunno, maybe the binned SOC it could (8+4/16). But that seems unlikely since they could've released that this week. So 🤷♂️
Of course the other possibility is that the model numbers found by @Jamie I are wrong/incomplete. Has anyone checked the file in question to confirm? We're now into the release of the actual OS, does anyone know which file it was?

No Mac Studio M4 Ultra but a 30” M5 iMac and a 30” M5Pro iMac. Sorry that fails the sniff test on too many levels.Alright, this is what I've got:
Code:M4 Macs Mac16,1 MBP 14” M4 Mac16,2 iMac 24” M4 (2-port) Mac16,3 iMac 24” M4 (4-port) Mac16,4 DNE Mac16,5 MBP 14” M4 Max (384b & 512b) Mac16,6 MBP 14” M4 Max (384b & 512b) Mac16,7 MBP 16” M4 Pro Mac16,8 MBP 14” M4 Pro Mac16,9 Mac Studio M4 Max Mac16,10 Mac mini M4 Mac16,11 Mac mini M4 Pro Mac16,12 MBA 13” M4 Mac16,13 MBA 15” M4 M5 Macs Mac17,1 iMac 30” M5 Mac17,2 iMac 30” M5 Pro
It seems that both of the variants of the M4 Max use the same firmware (perhaps some sort of chop or fusing) and thus do not require a different designations. Also, it's likely the M5 and M5 Pro are in a later testing phase, but not others in that lineup.
Edit: To be clear, I’m certain about those M4 designations, and the M5s are an educated guess.

Probably that will solve even for the M4 Max since the 14" Mbp can at some extend32" 6k M4 Pro iMac . Solves the heat problem.
Oh, it definitely would, given the expected interior volume of a 32" iMac. But my comment was meant humorously--I've no idea if Apple will be releasing a large iMac in 2025.Probably that will solve even for the M4 Max since the 14" Mbp can at some extend
Yes that may make sense, but I will be a little surprised if there are no M4 MacBook Airs.M5

I know Gurman is saying that (M4 Airs in early 2025), but if this identifiers list is gospel (not saying it is, but if it is), then it’s hard to find anything other than M5 Airs that work.Yes that may make sense, but I will be a little surprised if there are no M4 MacBook Airs.
Either way, M4 or M5, I’ll be ready next summer - Back To School Education Promotion - for a new MacBook Air to replace our 2017 non-Retina i5 MacBook Air.
