I had the Jabra 65t active (essentially the same design as the galaxy buds), and while they absolutely create a better seal than the Airpods, they eventually gave me headaches from the amount of pressure the rubber tips exerted. So that might be something to watch out for. Even switching sizes didn’t help too much. Hopefully your buds work out better!

My guess is that everything sounds kind of hollow when this is on?

Thanks for the heads up. My ear canals are tiny and I don't have the little lip thing that a majority do to keep the airpods from slipping out. I have the Jaybird X3s as well, might have to just stick with them.

I don't get why people make a big deal about pairing. It's only done once between any slave and a master. Does it matter if it takes 10 seconds or 50 seconds? It's only done ONCE.
Sounds like you’re thinking of the initial ‘registration’ of Bluetooth buds to a phone, which only needs to happen once.

But each subsequent ‘connection’ to the device needs to happen ASAP, which is where the W1 chip comes in handy.

If it works as well as the Airpods (which it seems they do), then the buds will connect in the time between when you open the case & place them in your ears.

The second I open the case it connects. They work pretty well and sound quality is in another league to the AirPods.

I know perfectly well what PAIRING is.
I also know perfectly well what CONNECTING is regarding the use of Bluetooth headphones. It seems a lot of people don't :)

Yup done the claim and same as you - no email.
TBH, it's a bit of a joke how long winded the claim is when the majority of US'ers got them in the same package.

You will get them it will just take a while. I remember it took about 35 days to get my Dex station.

So the latest Verge review on the Galaxy Buds focuses on one aspect of performance that I haven't see address predominantly in some of the other reviews I've read/watched---microphone performance. And the verdict really wasn't good. (Jump to around the 5 min mark where the reviewer addresses microphone performance)

Audio quality of course has to be at or near the top when considering earbuds but I do use my wireless earbuds (AirPods and JLab Epic Air Elite) quite a bit to make and take calls so performance has to be at least good. Anyone Buds owners have some first hand experience they can share regarding how well callers can hear you?

I was in a ultra quiet office getting a call on my galaxy buds and the caller said is it really windy where you are! I could hear them fine, but they said it wasn't that good for them. Connected to iphone x if that makes any difference

Most likely it matches Jim's review room on them. For calls, they are terrible outside or in noisy environments. See how they sound in his video when he walks near a street. I am having to get mine replaced because one ear is lower than the other, and I am tempted to sell the replacements and just pick up some much better quality ones like Bose, or something else.

Early impressions sound pretty good. Better than air pods for me. Notifications is useful for texts and sport scores and I've set tap and hold for volume up and down as the beats are crap when in the gym for trying to control the volume as I need to use my phone each time which goes against the point of wireless headphones

Can't wait to try them in the gym

Interested to hear impressions from those here. The reviews have been not good. Absolutely love the verge reviewer, though. She did an amazing job.

Sennheiser Momentum Earbuds are the best sounding right now. They are much more expensive but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I love Sennheiser, but they're usually not a great value. Yeah, the sound quality is great but I wonder if the name tax kind of blows out the value of their devices.

Most reviews I've seen have very positive

Even a few big YouTubers have said get them over air pods.

Early impressions are good but need more time with them
