Early impressions are good but need more time with them

May’ve been mentioned, but can you charge either bud whilst using the other, like you can with Airpods, allowing you to stay on a call in mono, while you quick charge one bud at a time?

Bought them but returned after a week. I was using them with my iPhone and the lack of Bluetooth multipoint was annoying. Couldn’t easily switch between iPad, iPhone, windows laptop. Having to re-pair with each device made it too much of a hassle. Sound quality was disappointing, apart fro pm the extra noise isolation sounded no better than EarPods.

I think the sound is better than air pods but if you are using an iPhone it might be why...air pods will be better when using an iPhone I agree

Interested to hear impressions from those here. The reviews have been not good. Absolutely love the verge reviewer, though. She did an amazing job.

Almost every review I've seen has been positive. The most obvious comparison in terms of price and name value being made is the airpod and almost every reviewer I've seen prefers the Galaxy Buds.

I have the iconX and by all accounts the Galaxy Buds are an improvement on those. I've tried airpods and strongly prefer the iconX. Airpods don't sound good to me and there's too much sound leakage.

I haven't tried the Galaxy Buds .

Yes I agree, the Galaxy Buds did have more bass than AirPods. I almost kept them for gym use. Unfortunately my litmus test for any earphones is to listen to it side by side with a $25 pair of Brainwavz Deltas (wired 4 year old model). None of the wireless earbuds or headphones come close. The Deltas are noticeably fuller, crisper, bassier... After trying half a dozen wireless models the only one I’ve kept are AirPods solely for convenience. YMMV

(Btw for anyone thinking of getting the black model because it looks sleek, bear in mind they show earwax residue very clearly when removed from the ear :))

I've had the Buds for two weeks now.

Battery life has been a non issue. Pairing is amazingly quick. Open the case and they connect in less than a second to my Note 9.

Sound quality is better than I expected but obviously lacking in bass compared to proper headphones.

Overall I'm very happy with them. Feels like a classy product.

Well I got Sony $15 earbuds that blow these pieces of garbage totally out of the water for sound.

Interesting enough though I have seen reviews anyway from 4.5 to a 3.0 for sound quality BUT even the better ones say the bass is very lacking. Maybe defective units out there, no one would give my set more than a 3.0 rating if they heard them, trust me.

I have to agree..bass is next to none existent on these, regardless of the equilizer setting in the Galaxy Wear app--worse than AirPods, IMO. But to be fair, audio quality on most wireless BT earbuds are lackluster at best. For me personally, the convenience and lack of wires is what I'm paying for. Plus, I'm listening to podcasts, audiobooks or watching video far more than listening to music so they're more than adequate for that.

I prefer the fit of these over AirPods and more touch control options so I'm sticking with the Galaxy Buds...for now. ;)

Went for my first run with them today and had all kinds of audio break ups.

They've been fine when testing around the house but really seemed to struggle today.

Has anyone else experienced this? I hope it was just a one off as otherwise I quite like them.

Yes I noticed audio drops when walking around

He stated that there is almost no noticeable difference between Airpods 1 & 2. So judging from my own experience with the Airpod 1 and Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Buds still sound better than the Airpods 2.

My music audio and audio when gaming, while wearing the Galaxy Buds is so much more immersive vs the Airpods.

Now what I don't like about the Galaxy Buds, without the removable tips, the Buds sound completely horrible. I was hoping I could take the tips off and still have a decent quality music without blocking out so much noise, for the times I'm just hanging with my people. The good news is, it's still decent enough for calls, without the tips on.

With the tips on, the Ambient sound adjustment barely works. From minimum to max level, it's the difference between not hearing your phone ring and barely hearing your phone ring. It's still going to be hard to have a conversation with someone with while wearing both buds.

I had stacks of dropouts walking around in the city centre here, never had that with my Jaybirds before! I'm wondering if its the tile app running at the same time, never used to affect my jaybirds though

Had a full hour session with them yesterday with no drop outs but the double tap to skip tracks was hit and miss.. Maybe sweat related? Will give another try today as I had issues with spotify app on my watch was basically controlling via my phone which is not what I wanted moving to Spotify

Still no sign of mine.
Samsung being great with delivery again it would seem.
Think I'm going to just sell mine straight away anyway.

Same thing here. Yesterday while walking downtown. It's strange that I didn't have these issues until the most recent March update. I'll try them in home today to see if I can just blame it on tall buildings and interference. ;)

Had loads of drop outs in the gym today. Frustrating

Granted it only took a tap to get it playing again but not the point.

This happened only via Spotify as video and YouTube was fine

Do love the tap features though and worked very well today when they didn't yesterday.

Maybe an Update can sort out the drop outs.

Are they definitely on the latest firmware? the release notes said something about fixing drop outs, didn't help in my case particularly though

I'm thinking maybe this is a Spotify issue as music seems to drop out when I'm using Bluetooth in my car hmmm

I've tried using apple music, spotify and podcasts and all do the same, swapped to my jaybirds as it was starting to annoy me while I was out and about and didn't have any dropouts at all with them.

Mine were doing it with Apple Music. I’ve not used them since so not sure if it was just a one off. I think I’ll keep them regardless as they are going to be a lot better on planes than AirPods.

Pretty sure they are on the latest firmware as they had an update as soon as I opened them.

I had that with my S10 too.
But it wasn' exclusive to Spotify - I got fed up of it and ended up listening to the same album on YouTube Music (which I also have a free trial of Premium access to), and that did the same.

Yeah loving the free trial on that..

Amazing how useful it is
