Same here grrrrrr would look good along with my Note
I wonder how good battery life is. Also pity there is no micro usb port to charge it. Samsung definitely goes in right direction !
Only thing is my carrier doesn't do it only O2 so not sure how I would pair it via 3G for example.

Would you be able to put it another sim to copy it? Doubt it.

I didn't get the Gear S, but I got the Gear 2 neo today, and so far it's surpassed my expectations.

Can you put your Gear S on one hand, 360 on the other, turn on S-Voice and G-Voice, and try to make them talk to each other? That would be funny as hell. And a good test of their "intelligence".

Haha, I'll have to try that experiment this weekend.

A small update to my experience. I found an app called Notifications for Gear S that the developer posted in the AC forum. This app lets you reply to Hangouts, Facebook, Whatsapp, and Gmail messages on your watch. With this app I'm really loving this watch now, the only thing I'm missing from my 360 now is the ability to control my Play Music from my watch in the car or while working out.

Can you link to that notifications app?

One question on notifications. Do you still get the same notifications on your watch as on your phone if the two arent connected for example if your phone has bluetooth off and your phone is on wifi or just have data on? does it remember what notifcations you have connected ?

They are always connected even if Bluetooth is off, at that point they are connected through 3g. I haven't tested it personally but I'm pretty sure I would still get notifications through that 3g link. Now if you completely disconnected them I don't think you would because the watch would act like a standalone phone with it's own phone number. I'm not sure though as I haven't tested it like that.

You get the exact same notifications as long as you are remotely connected. The only way you won't get notifications is if you go in pure standalone mode as spinedoc said. One thing to note though, remote connection seems to eat a ton of battery compared to bluetooth in my testing.

Anyone know how to check available space? I want to download several maps in HERE Navigator, but don't know how many I can expect to fit.

As long as I would still get the same notifications through 3G then that's good.

Out of curiosity, I wondered how small the band would go and set it to the first hole. Hmmm... dunno who has a wrist this small, maybe only newborn? Naturally, I thought... would it... would it fit... THERE?! :D:D:D

It did. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I wonder if someone will write a special app for that use.

Is it just me, or is Samsung's list of apps for the S woefully vaporware?

I'm not finding many of these:

Out of curiosity, is there an early termination clause? I know EU providers are vastly different than US, but that "on contract" made me buy my S outright from Verizon. There was only a $50 difference, but the "on contract" married me to the device for two years with an onerous early termination clause. This is a fast moving market segment, I don't see two years of life out of one of these devices just yet - we're very much on the early adopter spike.

Entirely TMI!

Honestly I don't think so

The 24 months is a concern to me. It's £340 to buy so maybe doing that then buying pay as you go is better

Got them. They're very thin and soft, and very easy to trap bubbles. But with some fingernail curling, I managed to push all bubbles off the edges. The protector is very hard to separate from the backing, there are no tabs to help to pull them apart. Also, there's no squeegee or cloth included like usual with smartphone protectors. But once installed, it seems to be ok. It adds a bit of friction compared to glass though.

To those interested, Kit Kat 4.4.4 for Note 3's is out. This should allow for Gear S email replies.

Looking forward to testing this out as soon as my update is complete.

He asks a valid question though that's still not answered and that's how to check how much space is available on the Gear S.

Just plug it into your PC. IIRC I had about 2.6GB available. Just drag and drop images or music over to it.

I gotta say, this watch is pretty awesome. I've been using it every day except for functions I have to dress up for and I love it. You don't realize how convenient it is to just turn your wrist and see your notifications, especially if you are getting notifications semi constantly like I do. The phone can stay in the pocket, or better yet at my desk in my office as I do my rounds.

Anyone else having fun?
