Anandtech works for Apple so nobody goes there for unbiased one-dimensional info compared to Gsmarena that's unbiased and broken down in detail to three areas and an overall score.

Lmao. Sorry but that's probably where I'll stop having any kind of discussion with you. I can't help you. Let's all pick untrustworthy sites that gave our phone a better score and ignore the golden standard in scientific testing. You and Tsepz must be good friends.

You really think that? Wow!

Forget it. If you look at some post histories, these two are known to go around thread after thread trash-talking the 6/6 Plus whenever they can. Buyer's remorse kicking in I guess.

Because I'm the one in the alternative OS forum with an iPhone, yeah? Heavy buyers remorse! :D lmao!

I mainly post here and iPad forum as those relate to what I have, I may have a few posts in iPhone and iOS forums, hardly trash-talking, but hey, do what you need to desperately validate your point.

I have both phones. Please try again. LOL

Doesn't make sense to compare a superphone to an oversized iPod that does a lot less anyway and with 1GB DRAM it's already obsolete with no future proofing.

You're clearly much happier with the 6 Plus.

Yep, I don't own a 6 Plus, wouldn't buy a device I have tried and found less productive than my old S4.

So much talk from somebody with no experience. Why should anyone listen to any opinion you have regarding a product you've never had?

Yes I actually own both and I can't stand the lagfest I get with the Note 4 compared to my 6 Plus. Hoping lollipop will fix it but then again I've been hoping since Froyo and things have only marginally improved software-wise despite hardware improvements. It comes down to: consistency, smoothness, ecosystem > some hardware toys and a half-assed fingerprint reader, along with throwing more cores and RAM at a software disaster such as Touchwiz hoping one day it'll catch up to iPhone 2G smoothness.

6+ and iOS 8 aren't free of lag either along with bugs, low memory crashes and inconsistencies. iPhone and iOS 8 forums would laugh at your claims too. Why don't you go try to convince them?

So to have any sort of opinion, I must have owned something? Interesting.

What I generally do is try a product, e.g. I am currently in the process of buying a new car for myself, I have test driven about 4 different brands of similarly specced and priced cars, but I guess I can't have any opinion as I didn't buy each and own it for a while.

Exactly. You're not qualified to make any statements about anything until you've had sufficient experience with it. That's how the world works. ;)

iOS 8 isn't perfect but if you're actually trying to compare Touchwiz with iOS 8... ralph pls go

Your world, not reality.

If that is how the world worked then reviewers should be posting reviews many months down the line after owning and using the phone, same with car reviewers and so on.

Logoff dude, you're drunk.

Had to endure 8.0.2 and 8.1 making my device useless and 8.1.1 is still buggy. At least Touchwiz already has split screen multitasking since 2012 that 1GB iDevices will probably never see so who are you kidding? The iPhone and iOS forums would laugh at you too.

Reality.

Reviewers usually use their devices very extensively for over a week before posting their reviews. Trying it at the Apple Store or thumbing through a friend's 6 Plus for a few minutes is not sufficient.

Logoff dude, back to marketing class.

Multi-screen has been possible through jail breaking when iPhones had 512MB of RAM.

Apple isn't deciding against it because of hardware limitations (the 6 Plus hardware runs circles around the Note 4). They're deciding against it because split-screen multitasking is stupid on a 5.7" screen and is largely a gimmick.

Yet another armchair expert who's never actually owned the product he's so passionately bashing. See you at the next Praise Samsung thread.

The same people preaching bigger than 3.5" is stupid at one time, what are they singing praises about now? That's right, 4.6" and 5.5". Or, how about greater than 1GB DRAM? They're now singing 2GB on Air 2. It will only continue with split screen multitasking which Apple already announced their intention, precision pen, 12.2" tablet, etc.

We'll remember this conversation when you come back with 2GB 6S+ proclaiming split screen multitasking on 5.5" is a miracle sent down from Jobs.

Nope, I've always wanted a bigger screen (hence my phone history as shown in my sig and hence the fact I've opted to go for the 6 Plus rather than a 6). 1GB has also proven to be sufficient for the vast majority of uses on my phone, given the fact that iOS manages memory intelligently, unlike Touchwiz taking up 1.7GB of ram just sitting IDLE.

Stop assuming there's some kind of hivemind mentality where all Apple fans have the same opinion at any point in time. I tend to disagree with quite a bit of what's posted in the iPhone/iOS forums which is why I post here frequently.

All you're doing is moving the yardstick to suit what you want, lol.

Seeing as you're getting ridiculous:

A week is not enough then to know how a phone will perform overtime in that case, we don't know how the battery will degrade or when it will reach full capacity, just over a week is not long enough - this is us going by your argument of owning for a "sufficient" time. Reviewers also tend to be reviewing multiple handsets, so they may not get all that "extensive" time. One should own that product for at least 6months, heck a year, maybe 2years to get a real thorough opinion, no? As at least then they'd have used it in a huge variety of conditions and environments.

Just stop, I'm getting really bored with repeating myself to you. No your experience with iPhones isnt sufficient to make any kind of statement about them so quit it.

Try to make this claim in the iPhone and iPad forums where they're experiencing Safari browser reloads with as few as two tabs and they will laugh you out. You're making some ridiculous claims that I doubt you actually own any of the devices.

Funny thing is he actually doesn't own any of the latest devices. Just like his friend, they're both running around totally clueless about the very products they're bashing.

Oh well. The OP made the smart choice and went with the 6 Plus anyway. :)

I dare you to create a thread in the iPhone forum claiming nobody needs more than 1GB DRAM and that Safari works perfectly along with background apps that don't close prematurely without worrying about causing loss of work/place/etc. without getting laughed out. Come back and post the link.
