Galaxy Note 4: Who's gonna be camping out?

Can't always go by sales……..that can be misleading. Plus the Note 4 has more features and functionality than the iPhone 6+.

Android phones outsell IOS phones worldwide and have the lion share of the mobile market. Does that make them better according to your analogy?

We're not talking android though. We're talking the galaxy note 4. Yes phones that have android overall sell more but we all know the iPhone is the best selling flagship phone every year. The 5s was outselling the s5 after almost a year of being out.

I'm sure the 6 plus took some sales away from samsung. How much is to be determined but again I don't see nearly the need to camp out for a note 4.

Give apple a year and the 6 plus s or whatever it's gonna be called will really shine.

That would be too easy. Had to let you know just how immature you and your thread are. Have a great day.

Which Samsung / Android vs. Apple threads aren't immature (or at least turn into such).

Problem with the 6/6+ is that all you get are more rows of icons. Some people are getting phablets not just because of the size, but because of the added functionality (S-Pen, Multi window etc. ).

I think the biggest mistake ... Long term ... Is Apple to only have big phones. Not everyone wants bigger phones. My company used to have 4/4S/5/5S as company phones but currently has to look elsewhere eventually as already a lot if people hate the idea of a larger phone.

So once the 5S is available as refurb only, my company is likely to leave the Apple ecosystem.

I understand the note has added features. You'll see increased functionality on the 6 plus. Give it a lil time. And the 5s is still here, prolly for at least another year.

I believe apple does mostly long term thinking. They wait to adopt certain aspects. They don't add features to just add them. They at least try to make features seamless and purposeful.

I still don't think you'll have to camp for a note 4.

I'm sure the Note 4 is a great phone but it would be unrealistic to expect queues in my part of the world. In Asia I don't doubt it is hugely popular. The fact is in my experience you don't see too many people using phablets anyway regardless of what brand they are. The market is in favour of the smaller devices which is why the smaller of the 2 iPhone 6's is the one you generally see more of.

Phablets have their customers but they are not exactly mainstream just yet. The iPhone 6 Plus is the only phone I could see changing this, even that is a long shot though IMO. :)

We had queues in the UK for the S5 (not Apple level). However, I think the note is more nieche so the demand probably won't be as high as it was for the S5.

I do see a number of galaxy notes around. I remember when I first got the original note it was rare to see another note owner. However over the past year I see them quite frequently now.

Meizu has 7M preordered MX4's mostly in one country and nobody turns to look.

Xiaomi sells 23M Redmi Notes via flash sales and they don't hype it.

You can say because they are "cheap" but Chinese have a worse income than Americans. And most buy off-contract prices which could be more or less the same as people buying iPhones at discounted, subsidized pricing.

Samsung will likely sell 10M Note 4's in South Korea within a one month.

I get Apple products are lust worthy but these early sellouts is equal to when PS3 sold out for buyers to resell it higher on eBay. Did Sony win it against the Wii? It is equal to a record opening box office weekend for a summer flick. But after a few months, it longer has the stamina to reach all-time level. Sprinting out of the gate while in a marathon.

Note 4 is already sold out for preorders on the UK estore website. Which is a shame for me as I hadn't realised they were bundling a gear fit with it as well, plus I had a 10% off coupon. Oh well..

I agree with you on most of what you said......the iPhone is the single best selling phone in the world. I don't think anyone is going to camp out to get a Note 4.

Yeah it's pretty rare that I see somebody using a Note in public. I've seen plenty of S5's or S4's I can't tell the difference. The iPhone used to be fairly rare but now they are more affordable they appear to be the most popular in my city. Various iterations of course.

I always thought the same till I bought one. Now I see Note 3 in a lot of places. At the gym a lot, at my hospital, board meetings, etc. Lot of S5 as well though, and more commonly as you say. Probably just like the iPhone 6 will be much more common than the iPhone 6+. I really wish, Apple would release their total phone sale divided up between iphone 6 and 6+. Would be interesting to know. They likely never will though, unless it becomes on the order of something more than the Note series in sales. ;-)

I see the Note 3 quite often nowadays. Surprisingly a lot of them being used by really short women. Maybe because many of them carry a purse anyway, also maybe they're more noticeable when being used by a shorter person. Anyway I always think "You go girl!" lol. <3

I'll have to keep my eye out for them then, I may not have 'noticed' (there was a joke there somewhere lol).

I to would like to see the sales figures for the iPhone 6 and a Plus for curiosity. I would place a huge bet that the 6 is the more popular because I think phablets are still an acquired taste. To add to that there are several 6's in my office and only one Plus so far. Not that this is any true indication of course :)

I' happily using a 5S now but if I ever had to go phablet, it would be Note 4 all the way.

And AFAIK, I remember the time I got the Note 2, I had to wait because it was sold out everywhere for me.

Yeah I'm sure the 6 is outselling the plus. IMO the plus isn't fully optimized. It's the first year. Give it some time and it'll come into it's own
