Yeap, I remember those days. People use to make phone of me having i.e. Saying iPhone size was the best. Low and behold years later they all sporting at least 5" phones. The irony of it all. Good guy I am rub it in every chance I get.

I'm currently using the G3 and will hand me down it to my dad once the Note 4 comes out. Hopefully it doesn't look like the leaked Alpha which I think looks like an iPhone but bigger.

I'm really interested in seeing what the new LG Health is. I hope it takes down your step automatically without having to start it like LG Health app is. Of course, there are other features I'm interested in too.

Yeah I got a G3 and it had a problem immediately so I only got to spend one day with it!

It should be back with me in a couple of days. Can't wait.

I wish they wouldn't use a diamond subpixel arrangement on the phone but they most likely will. I hope I won't be able to see it with that quad HD :D

Plus there are rumors of a G3 Prime, which I might consider over the Note 4 if they turned off screen sharpening on it.

I'm on ATT, so the Note 4 is not even an option for me, it will be locked down tighter than a nuclear submarine  With locked bootloader, and Knox BS

Only way I can handle a Touchwiz device is with custom TW ROM's, that are tweaked to make the phone run smooth / faster, and give more tweaks and options, etc... But to be stuck with a bone stock Samsung phone, LOL no ***** way :p Not even an option.

Is too bad the U.S. Carriers + Samsung have to ***** on us now. I only had one Note phone, the Note 2 and it was an official ATT version, but back then they allowed the phone to be easily rooted, and custom Recovery installation was a cinch. And there were some awesome TW ROM's for the Note 2, it made the phone sooooooo much better, was way smoother and faster, with even batter battery life, thanks to the great developers working their magic on the Note 2.

Then the Note 3 came out, and ATT said F off, no more fun for you  I assume the Note 4 to be the same.

Oh well, thank God, Google has the Nexus 6 Phablet 5.9" phone coming out this Fall by Motorola.

^^ To me, even custom TouchWiz roms are super slow :mad:

There's just no way to make TouchWiz as fast and pleasant to use as stock Android, Sense, etc.

I'm even considering to stop rooting and all. The G2 I had was a little bit more complicated to return to stock than Samsung phones and I got desperate at certain point with errors and such. I managed to fix it but it's getting harder on these phones.

Only the Nexus is easy to root and return to stock.

Nexus 6 would be my top choice, but it's still too far away.

I'm in (almost) desperate need to get rid of my old SGS3 and upgrade to something better. Even the Note 4 would be a long long wait for me.

I've been stuck with this SGS3 for 2 years and it's so slow right now...

That's why if Motorola announces the X+1 this month I'm getting it. If not then the Note 4 would be the alternative, since it's gonna be announce and released next month.

I would prefer no QHD display, but as long as performance and battery life don't suffer then I wouldn't care too much.

Waiting for the Nexus 6 is too much, and I would have to buy that online since where I live the 32GB model isn't available in stores and I can't live with 16GB only.

I am stuck with my old 3GS for almost 5 years...

More and more, not a fan of Touchwiz, much prefer stock Android.

And finally a Nexus Phablet is coming out in October, a true AOSP Note competitor, by Google and Motorola in the 5.9" Nexus 6 Phablet. I think I'll get that Phablet over the Note 4.

You could get some very good phones for just 100-150$: Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X, etc.

Unless all you need is to call and text and few other things of course.

I always used a different launcher like Nova or Apex and never had issues on a stock or customer TW ROM. But, I always root and get rid of unwanted apps and greenify everything else.

The IP6 announcement will dwarf the Note 4 so smart of them to do it prior to the Apple one.

it is more about having perfect phone for my needs rather than buying one every 2 years even knowing I will not be satisfied...
For the first time since 2009, I feel this 2014 batch looks promising in terms of display size, battery life, embedded memory i am less sure!

Most likely, as this is what apple fans have been waiting years and years for. A bigger iphone. Won't stop me getting the note 4 though :p

I am very intrigued by both.

I want to see any design differences that are made with the Note 4, see if it gets the 805 processor, and the new Quad HD screen.

For the IP6 I want to see if the mockups have been true to form and go and hold the 5.5 and 4.7 models and see the differences.

At this point, its an operating system thing for me. On ATT and with current Kit Kat I do not want anything to do with Android until major changes are made.

I'll be first in line. With the new version of OneNote recognizing handwriting and searchable handwriting nothing stacks up against it in terms of productive note taking.
Wait... OneNote for Android supports the S Pen?? Is that true?

OMG. This plus my Surface Pro 3 and I'd be in heaven!

Liking these leaked pics. Look like Sammy has shrunk the 5.7" phablet down as small as possible, with very minimal bezels, very thin, etc...

Looks to be smaller and lightweight compared to the current Note 3, even though they both share the same size screen.

a better place

very samsung'esque - and ultimately a little bland with a touch of retro 80's styling

Looks like it could be a proper chrome bezel though and looks very thin ..... the port on the bottom looks funny for USB 3 - hope it's not a propriety connector. At least the camera appears to be flush rather than sticking out though.

Actually more I look at it - the more I appreciate it .... and grow to like it.....
