If you gave me the Note 2, 3 and the iPhone 6+ I guarantee you I could tell the difference. :)

I even felt the difference on the Note 2 and 3. While the Note 3 had like a 1mm smaller width its edges weren't rounded as Note 2 so the Note 2 felt smaller and more ergonomic to hold, for an example. The rounded edges of the iPhone 6+ will be the same compared to the Note 3 and 4.

Lets rephrase that, if given solid aluminum blocks each with the note 4 and ip6+ dimensions I'll bet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

i am waiting for some benchmark results of the note 4 , i have the note 3 now and i hope its lot better then it but the high resolution of the screen takes lot more power to handle , has no one yet layed there hands on the note 4 and done a benchmark i can't find any thing on the performance boost over the note 3 or is there any out there now ?

Are we comparing "solid aluminum blocks" or smartphones here? LOL.

The point was that you couldn't tell the difference in size, which I agree with. You can obviously tell the difference in materials, the backings, home buttons, etc.

As I've already stated, of course I can feel the difference of size when holding the phones which is the only thing that matters. The iPhone 6+ is smaller in width and depth than the Note 2, the phone I used the most, the iPhone will almost remove an entire side bezel in width compared to the Note 2.

Of course I will feel the difference. Smaller depth, width and smoother, rounded edges. It will feel more ergonomic. The only downside in size with the iPhone 6+ is the length. It might be a problem once inside my pocket. It's an extra 7mm in length, almost 1 cm! So I will have to try it before I buy it, but I know for a fact it will feel better and smaller in my hand than any Note device.

wait.....You have held the IP6+ in your hands? Does the aluminum scratch really easy?
Have you held the Note 4 too? How does it compare to the latest Note in size and feel?
If we are comparing....lets compare the latest from well.....the latest.

If I could feel the difference between Note 2 and 3, I'm sure I will feel it with the Note 4 as well which doesn't have round edges and is wider than iPhone 6+ which does indeed have rounded edges.

Sure....you can feel the difference but then from older heavier models. But lets wait and compare new to new. They are not the same...Lets also look at screen size and utilization.

The length seems like it would be an issue IMO. Sometimes the Note 3 can be too long if it's in a pocket and I have to sit down, that's usually with jeans. The phone can dig into my hip when I sit down like that. I can only see the longer ip6 making that worse.

Personally I never felt the Note was too long for my pockets, but maybe some pockets were a bit too small. But I do agree, it might be an issue with the iPhone 6+. I'll have to try it out before I buy it.

Never had an issue with the note 3, although with shorter pockets it can feel a bit awkward when sitting down/getting into a car etc

This is a existential crisis for me. I keep on going back and forth between 6+, or note 4 and moto 360. For a variety of reasons the 6+ would really make life easier for me, but I am so used to swapping out batteries I may hate it.

When you have a handbag no phone is to big to carry :p

However the only thing with the note is that if you have smaller hands it is harder to grip. My S5 is really good for one handed use however the note is worth sacrificing one handed use.

I was all set to return to the iPhone 6 Plus, but honestly as a Note 3 user I'll probably stay with the Note 4. I can't do without the stylus. I know it's not a deal breaker to some, but that's usually coming from people that don't have a Note device.

I miss my S-pen. Can't wait to get the note 4. I might have to take my Note 3 back. I love using it to take action memos and cot things out that I see on line for my scrap book. The new functions look really good too.

Any word or release date on the Note 4 yet.

Oct 10 is the most common rumor. Some vendors on amazon have it for Oct 3 but that may just be a placeholder date.

I can't wait, but I'm undecided on the vanilla or the Edge version.
