That author is cherry picking stats... So in the first quarter of its release, the Note 3 sold about as many iPhone 5, 4S, and 4 combined in the previous quarter, before its refresh.

Your missing the point of the post.it was not to compare it to iPhone but to prove that the big screen note line is selling well.

#1 question should be, locked bootloader or not Samscum ? AT&T's Note 3 was a disaster for XDA Development. Crickets chirping, and tumble weeds blowing in the development threads on the Note 3 last year. Took till after the New Year just to get basic Root on the AT&T Note 3

Note 4 will be locked down even more F. that.

Why can't Samesung be open like HTC, and allow the bootloader to be officially unlocked free of charge, and direct from the manufacturers website.

That is why I own an AT&T HTC One M8, which I then happily and easily converted to GPE.

If you don't want a locked bootloader, consider getting a TMO version. TMO Samsung phones so far have been unlocked bootloader

Can't wait to get my hands on one, also tempted to get the Samsung VR to go with the N4.

The interesting number is that it is approaching the sales rate of the Galaxy S line. It took just 10 more days to hit the same figure. But this article is definitely based on how the GS4 + Note 3 are outpacing the iPhone 5/4S/4 sales.

Phonedog used to be good when Aaron Baker was there. However they've gone down the pan since he left.

I was glad to see that Lisa went to IFA.

Yeah, phone dog used to be good. I thought he came back but I only see older videos of his.

Lisa is pretty good and pretty fair in her reviews.

I dunno, somewhere in West Texas
I definitely believe this will be smartphone of the year. Now that Sammy has gone away from the faux metal look, there is very little to critique about them. I'm still weighing if it's worth it to step up to the 4 from the 3. Probably after a hands on, I'll know for sure.

So in the reviews I saw, they were reviewing the white and said Sammy maintained the faux faux leather. Does that mean the white is no longer slippery plastic?!

Huh? It never was slippery to begin with, and besides, I was talking about the faux metal. I think most people had issues with the fake metal and not so much the fake leather removable back. I know I didn't.

I like the fake leather back on the N3 quite a bit. It feels nice, has excellent grip and best of all it is VERY durable which means I don't have to sully my phone with a thick case.

What's amusing sometimes is high end phone owners like One, or iPhone with metal backs, the first thing you need to do is put a case on it so you don't scratch it up. I'm very happy they are using the same backing on the N4.

I think I'm the only one who gets a premium feel from my N3, so the N4 should be a pleasant surprise. The only thing that screamed cheapness with the N3 is that horrid chrome surround, why phone makers prefer chrome versus a nice subdued brushed aluminum in the same color tone as the phone I will never know. Do consumers really look at chrome trim and say "hell yeah I want to buy that?"
