It's honestly a really beautiful device. Especially in white.

Looks even better in video:

YouTube: video

Too bad I don't want a device that large nor like TouchWiz. But for the phablet category/crowd, this is looking quite nice.
I think, white color S5 is also nice even with urgly bezel. S5 should have this metal bezel.

a better place
I wish. My note 10.1 (2012 version) is still stuck on 4.2.2 or something. Although apparently kitkat is coming..

Well my note 8.0 has it.

I do think this is one area Samsung need to get their ***** together. Seriosuly like a 2014 tablet should get these UIX changes as soon as they are released. The Tab S improvements should have rolled out to Note Pro's released only a few months ago as soon as they had it released on the Tab S line.

If anything, as much as I like my Note Pro 12.2, it will be the last Samsung tablet I ever buy simply because lack of software updates.

Nice update

Looks like a nice update to the Note 3. Nothing warranting the money to upgrade just yet, but I didn't expect there to be really. Good evolution. Confirms my desire and likelihood of staying with Note a year from now.

I understand that but with how quick you update your devices I don't think updates matter :D

I cant wait for 4.4.4 for my gs5,is it me or does the note 4 even with the QHD screen absolutely fly in all the demo videos so far?

My gs5 with its latest 4.4.2 update got a lot smoother and it looks like Samsung has really stepped it up with 4.4.4

I see zero lag and the cell runs smooth. So much for all the haters sating that the QHD screen is a hog and touchwiz is laggy lol

just imagine how the alpha is going to run with the same soc and a 720p screen!

I am going to have a long hard look at the Alpha when it comes to the US.

Gotta check with some of the Samsung rep managers. Surely they will have something to look at shortly.

The Note 4 will not compete will the ip6, not sure why folks think it coming out sooner will matter. Maybe the 5.5" iPhone to some extent, but not the 4.7" ip6.

How many Note 4s were sold in comparison to ip5s?

note 3 sold 10 million in the first 50 days, nothing grazzy but it still out sold every other android oem.

Samsung is the android leader by a long shot and the note 3 blew all other android oems, seriously I have yet to see a person using an HTC one or LG out in the real world. All I see is iphones and samsungs

Here is an interesting read!

Interesting Number, Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 Alone Approaches 50% Of All Of Apple's iPhone Sales

I mean its got apple to make a bigger phone so I guess they are really selling well

Note is for a different type of user. So really it's a different. Some like the smaller version

why does samsung still use the 4x4 grid on a 5.7 inch screen?

Thank you.

I can not even wrap my head around how stupid that is  Thank God for Nova Launcher, which allows custom grid, and for a Note phone, is best set to like 6 x 6 minimum.

That author is cherry picking stats... So in the first quarter of its release, the Note 3 sold about as many iPhone 5, 4S, and 4 combined in the previous quarter, before its refresh.
