Samsung Experience stores in best buy will supposedly have the Galaxy Note 4 before retail for users to have hands on experience before buying. I'm not sure what stores and if the U.S is participating.

Saw your username and immediately knew it would be some reference to a pink Note.

BTW, that thing is hideous, should've just called it the Pepto Edition.

Uh, that works perfectly fine... open chrome and go to mail.google.com and it opens up your gmail account. I guess you're doing something wrong.

On the other hand, try icloud.com on a apple device.

I'm not that stupid that I can't go to a URL.

----------

Why not just use the app?

At the time I was using the app, I couldn't figure out how to sign out of the app. That meant that if somebody got my phone, if they got past my phone lock code, they could get right into my gmail account. And that was before Android had a "lock my phone remotely" feature. Installing the lock my phone remotely feature sounds like such a pain I still have not gotten around to it. So you can see Android doesn't "just work."

I don't have time to read this thread to pick up precisely on this conversation, but as an android user, I believe Android is an inferior OS. I can't even get gmail to open up on Chrome in Android! Both are google products, you'd think they'd be compatible. Now that Apple has large size screens, I am switching when my contract is up.

I'm not that stupid that I can't go to a URL.

Sorry, but these two posts seem to be somewhat contradictory ^

Ba dum-tish! Tell us, did you fist pump in front of the mirror after that one?

you dont have to install it. its included with android :)

Why don't you tell me where it is under AT&T Android 4.4.2

The extreme numbers of people who want the iPhone and will be switching now that there is a larger screen will prove you the fool.

LOL, I'm not even debating which OS is better. I was only pointing out how silly it was of you to claim that Android is inferior based on a non-existent deficiency, and then underlining your error by using that Apple slogan to gloat.

And then your last reply made it even worse :D

The deficiency exists. Every time I try to load gmail on Chrome, it flashes several times a second between mp/42 and mp/886. It is absurd for you to insist that it is a non-existent deficiency. You are basically saying I am lying, so I'll call you a fool.
Edit: Similar problems have been reported for sometime and here is an example in google's own forums:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/08RWQgqtvEg

It is also a fact that in the version of the gmail app I have, either of 2 things are true: 1) it is not possible to log out of the gmail account so that anybody who gets my phone can immediately get into my gmail account (if the phone is unlocked) or 2) Maybe there is a way to log out of the account in the gmail app, but if so, the fact that it is so hard to find proves my point about Android.

It is also a fact that on AT&T Android 4.4.2 that Android Device Manager is under "More … Device Administrators" which makes no sense. It should be under "My Device" and that's it. It's called "Device Manager" so that is the intuitive place for it. Or, "More…Security" and it should be right there. And, it should be on the main app screen as well. If they are going to place so many other apps there without asking they should add that too. People shouldn't have to go searching around the web for how to find something that should be intuitive to find on the phone. So you can have your own opinion. I think it is stupid (not your opinion- certain things about Android) and I am switching when my contract is up.

I guess it is my turn to feed it......

Sorry you are having so much trouble with Android. Switch and switch now...... it not worth staying with something you do not like. I wish you well.

But some of your assumptions and experiences are not correct. I have a pin code to get into my iphone. Suggest you do the same if you want security. Use the builtin security tools available to you. If you don't want to use them....stop complaining about it. Then you don't have to worry about anyone reading your mail.
Next every company has support issue. Quoting support forums is not very helpful. People only go there with problems. Ever try the Apple support forums? See how many issues you find there....

Millions of flys eat poo every day, does that mean poo tastes good?

ha

iphone will sell millions doesn't mean it's some super product. Even got some moaning about how long the plus is. Nice phone but still doesn't have anywhere near the features needed for a smart phone these days for me.

Exactly, patiently waiting for the note 4 to hit shelves in uk, samsung could definitely learn some things from apple when it comes to launch/release dates!

Agreed, just wish they had the same process and have more stores. With a company as huge as samsung why not have stores in every city? makes no sense to me.

I've let my girlfriend have that actually.. And don't have a need to use it not with the note 12.2 as my main at home tablet

I also gave my ipad air away today. My cousin is going travelling for 3 months around Australia and New Zealand so I've let her take it with her. She's not very responsible so I doubt it will come back in one piece! I haven't used it much since getting the tab pro 10.1 and felt guilty not giving it to her when it would just sit around for the next three months.

McDonald's sells millions of Big Macs too. I would say the iPhone is the Big Mac of smartphones, and my HTC One M8 'GPE' is the gourmet organic burger.

Or the iPhone is the Honda Accord, and my One M8 the BMW ///M5
