So... I bit the bullet today, returned my iphone 6+, and got the note 4.

I am throughly impressed. Wow. It's nice, just beautiful. Samsung had come a long way.

I guess you will lose some sleep tonight.

I do not even notice it in my pocket compared to the Plus and one hand operation is that much better.

It is not about which one is the best per se, but the Note 4 is working out that much better for me personally. And the screen, OMG!

the new fancy super fast charger can be used with normal usb2.0 cables right? the one included doesn't appear any different

Yes it can. It charges super quick too.
I've been killing my battery watching 4k videos. It's simply stunning.

What is your source for 4k video? Youtube dummies everything down far lower than that resolution so I want to get a feel where I can grab some high quality video from.

I did a search for 4K video and then downloaded it. Then transferred to my Note 4. I downloaded the GoPro 4k demo and several others.
But if you specifically search for "watch 4K Note 4" or "Sample Note 4 4K" some results come up where you can download the videos or they uploaded to youtube in full res.
I compared the same videos on an iPhone 6+ and my note 4. You can see a difference.

Hope that helps.

MKBHD does all his YouTube vids in 4k now and many others are starting to follow suit.

Can't wait to see what this looks like on the Note 4... Alas the release seems to have been postponed until Nov 7th where I am :(

You are correct. I haven't got to play with it much, but I will when the family goes asleep.

I had thought nothing could top the performance and design of the six plus.

So far I was wrong. Pretty smitten so far.

Woohoo just got home from picking mine up after work. This thing is AWESOME. The first thing I noticed was that the very slightly narrower width feels MUCH better in one hand, I'm not sure what it is but it just feels almost like a regular phone. Can't believe how solid it freaking feels. First time I saw a black one as well and not disappointed, although I'd prefer not having the chrome surround personally.

I haven't had a chance to play with it. Still debating whether to see what happens if I restore my rooted Note 3 info to the Note 4 through Titanium.

Still on backorder for no good reason... I'd cancel but then I'd get 100$ less trade in on my iPhone 4... I also preorderd on 9/21. AT&T sucks.

I also switched from the 6 plus and picked this baby up today at ATT.

So far loving it. Not used to the warmer display of the amoled screen so I will have to get used to that on white backgrounds and what not. Otherwise the display is beautiful.

Sometimes it comes off as pink to me almost but then other times it doesn't. My brain is messing with me.

Really can't wait to see how this phone does for me with my new job

I'll post some pics I took with it later

You know you can adjust the saturation level in display settings. May or may not help.

I just switched it to amoled cinema and turned off auto brightness and I like the way the screen looks much better now than the adaptive. Thanks for the tip

One other thing: I seem to hit the screen every time I press the middle button. It has to be because it's so thin and my thumb is better but man its annoying.

My only complaint so far about upgrading is the backup and restore process.
It really sucks. If I could root the Note 4 then I wouldn't be complaining. But Kies and SmartSwitch takes forever and constantly crashes.

I wish it was easier. Apple got that part right.

Also wish At&t would lay their dirty paws off MY phone. So much At&t added software that I will never use is so damn annoying.

I pray there will be root that doesn't trip Knox out soon.

I just picked up the note 4 what is killing me right now is the front facing camera is like laggy as hell its so wack when im doing a video with the front camera on snap chat or something it makes me cringe.

In case you didn't know, the most accurate colours are produced while you have the display mode set to "Basic."
For whatever reason I like the adaptive display setting better. I love how the vibrant colors look. I don't have my Note 4 yet, but I've had some quality time with a demo. Can't wait to get mine.
The only time I see myself using basic is when doing some online shopping. This is when I need really accurate colors. So appreciative of the different screen mode. Choice is always wicked.

yeah I just really hate how yellow the basic mode looks..... I dont ever really need super accurate colors which is why i prefer the cooler screens, although i know those are way off reference.

just got mine...problem now is that helium can't see my external sd card to restore the note3 backups...stupid kitkat limitation...is there any ways around that? how are you guys transferring app+data from the note 3 to the 4?

thanks

edit: i guess work-around is copy entire carbon folder over to internal sd card, then restore...damnit i'm missing root already

edit again: how do you add widgets, NILS specifically, to the lockscreen? its been a while since i've used the stock lockscreen but i want to try it this time with the finger print reader
I used smart switch which was great.

Nils also works fine with fingerprint scanner on

What you can also do is find a 4k video on YouTube, copy the link and paste it into clipconverter.cc. (make you go to the full version of the site first). You can then download the video in 4k.

Mine gets pretty warm on the back under the camera while doing tasks that shouldn't be too intensive... Does anyone else have this problem? Thx

The camera are has always served as a sort of heat sink in the Notes. Shouldn't be a problem unless it is doing it all of the time. If you are doing a lot of downloading and setting up stuff, it is gonna heat up some.
