I hadn't charged since early this morning

I'm pretty sure this thing could get 8hours on screen if I cared to try:

Is there a way to have hangouts display notifications on the lock screen, or can it only be in the swipe down menu? I want to be able to access texts from the lock screen

Textra looks awesome and has great lock screen notifications.

Haven't used that myself but a quick Google says yes. I'd say go ahead and try it out, it's free after all. The notifications are definitely better than any other app.

Thanks for the help. I installed it. Definitely like that it drops down and i can tap it to reply. Thats real nice. I also like thaat it opens a small window to reply in.

I still wish it would be sitting on the lock screen if i dont get to it right away rather than the pull down menu.

I just installed the google now launcher as well... i think i like it better than touchwiz, and from what i understand i dont use any functionality.

should i be worried about the camera lens scratching?

I cant find any info about the glass used on it i am laying it on its back until i get a case, as the neo hybrid is currently sold out in the gold color.

Almost.
In Android it quite literally means for how much time the screen was on in total, whereas in Apples case Usage also includes somethings done while the screen was off e.g. playing music.

Not just that. When ios does any background refresh or other system process that also counted usage.

Exactly, would be interesting to see exactly how many hours of screen time the iPhone 6+ gets compared to the Note 4.

How is everyone enjoying their new Note? Still waiting for mine =(

Dunno where to add widgets basically... It was much easier with widgetlocker

Don't mess with the Widget settings. Note 4 does not have lock screen widgets.

Instead mess with the Notification Panel settings.

Do you want it to look something like mines?

Lots!

Have you tried enabling developer mode and then turning the animations/transitions off? Seems to work better. I have also experienced some lag, or rather slight stuttering.
I've also changed the runtime to ART to see if this slightly speeds things up. Make sure you've got plenty if battery left when you do this as it drains like hell while optimising apps and gets very very hot!

I turned on ART it made a hell of a difference, only thing is when its loading and you try and scroll it does 0 responses but then i everything scrolls a lot smoother. Not the SMOOTHEST but a hell of a lot SMOOTHER.

My only cel phones so far have been iphones, and I've never given switching any seriously thought, I'm not sure I'm even a phablet kind of guy, but I tried a note 4 today at an AT&T store. The only thing I cared about was seeing how sketching would feel on it. I don't know about the rest of the phone but I am jealous of that feature alone. It could replace my sketchpad in many ways.

Of course, given the option I'd go for a full on cintiq instead, but those are still ridiculously pricey for me.

I don't think I could give up the selection we have on the app store though. Maybe if I had an ipad, so I could have the best of both worlds.

So how do I do that?

Main settings should be like this. Your Notifications will automatically show, but it will be in an ugly position.

Enable as seen in picture, from Notifications panel settings. When you see a notification on your lock screen, tap and hold, then position and resize exactly where you want it to be. Then go back and disable what's shown in the picture.

Get Themes .....

Configure which apps. I suggest you disable phone and sms as the phone's default notification will already show.
