How do you like owning both now? I own both and can't decide which one I want to keep lol. Love both but I feel so comfy with iOS. Love the experience of the note 4. One of them gots ta go:cool:

Will give my opinion in a few days. :D:D Decided I"m going to run with 2 numbers. Deciding which phone I should make personal and which work..hard decision.

Questions about the Note 4? I have a T-Mobile variant and the speaker near the front facing camera became loose and is tad uneven. I want to get it exchanged from T-Mobile for a warranty exchange. What's the likelihood they give me a refurbished model? I know the phone has a short supply for the White, but I have the Black model and the phone has been out for less than 2 months with supply issues lingering. Thoughts as well?

I got some decent trigger time with the Note 4 yesterday. Very interesting device. S-Pen is something I could see myself getting really comfortable with.

I REALLY wish it shipped with Lollipop. It probably wont see Android's latest and greatest until after the S6 drops around April, in which case I'll go with the newer device with the higher specs.

Samsung really needs to lean out their Touchwiz skin which not only would improve overall performance, but give their software guys lets fits when it comes to getting devices updated faster.

Eh!? I'm sorry to ask but what the hell are you smoking? The Note 4 will get 5.0 long before April.
The S5 is already recieving 5.0 in Korea and Poland within weeks of leaked videos of it running Lollipop, the Note 4 won't be far behind as there are now videos of it running 5.0 to.

That's wishful thinking. April is a generous estimate based upon Samsung's actual track record with updates.

Get the S-Pen out every time you use the Note and use it for operating Android/TouchWiz and Apps and you will discover a new high level of accuracy and selectivity then explore the special S-Pen features such as cut-and-paste. The S-Pen makes the Note 4 a joy to use.

Anyone know what the best way to backup my Note 4 completely? I don't have root so don't think Titanium will work very well. I think I finally sold it so need to backup all my stuff, really just my SMS/MMS, contacts, phone logs.

Try Kies. It's how I back up and restore on my S5.

Actually the S5 is already getting Lollipop, and the Note 4 should see it sometime in January.

i'm in the same boat as you. and i have decided to let go of my iphone6 128gb version. as to the reasons why i will list them here.
1. better battery life the note4 just has better battery period. it's not even close
2. multi color led this is somthing i really use alot. i notice with my iphone i have keep picking it up from my desk at work to see if i have missed a call, text or email. now i know why most peeps just carry them in there hand instead of their pocket.
3. extended memory which i use daily for when i download movies and want to share them with co-workers.
4. the ability to download thoes said movies, extract them and then share or play them. for some reason i could not get the iphone to extract a winrar file which means i cant play it:(
6. the android file system LOVE it i can't even find the file system on my iphone
7. multitasking the note4 does it so well the iphone6 it's not even close.
8. the mighty spen and believe me im starting to use it daily.

this is just my short list, obviously i could go on forever.

so if someone is looking for a spec grey iphone6 128gb from t-mobile shoot me a pm. maybe we can work out a deal

I totally agree. When I used the 5S for about a week, I had similar thoughts. The Notification LED is huge and it's surprising how people don't hold Apple against it. I mean the Nexus 6 doesn't have one, but it is uses an ambient display. I don't think the iPhone 6 has one either. Memory is too much of a premium for the iPhone 6/6+. Multi-tasking is huge on the Galaxy S and Note line since you have the multi-window alone. The S-Pen's latest features are unique as well. Apple really lacks in multi-tasking. File systems allow you to avoid iTunes and what not. One thing people don't consider on the iPhone is the fact the phone lacks predictive dialing. That's one of my favorite Android features. People need to stop requesting slimmer and slimmer iPhones and focus on getting a bigger battery, a non-protruding camera with 4k capabilities and OIS, more multi-tasking, higher RAM, and better software.

Sorry I didn't answer that the first time. On my N4 I usually from 4-6 hours SOT depending on what I am doing with that screen time. The 6+ really doesn't give you that kind of breakdown.

I get over 10 hours of screen on time with the 6+.
I've used the phone for 10.5 hours straight today on one charge.
Web browsing over WiFi, a couple of phonecalls, probably 30 mins of video, I updated some apps, an hour of Whatsapp convo, probably a couple of hours on Facebook, sent three or four SMS and posted on forums. I only got the phone a couple of days ago, it's the weekend and I'm poorly. So today has been a full-on session of lounging around and playing with my device. All the reviews I've read would point to the Note 4 battery giving up the ghost long before mine did today.

I really missed having a led light on my phone! I think its a great feature.

really? I have so many notifications I don't think it's that useful to me. Suppose it depends on if you download an app so you get different colours for different notifications.

I don't think the two's usage are the same in terms of the breakdown. Note 4 normally lasts over 1 day and as mentioned at least 4 hours screen time

Think I got 1 day, 13 hours usage yesterday and still got 4 hours, 20 mins screen time and as somebody who has a spare battery with me just incase It's perfect. I've got 48 hours at least with me at all times.

I don't doubt the plus has good battery life but the no removeable battery is the big issue to me. I know if I go to bed on 20% I don't need to worry about about charging it most nights.

I just like knowing I have some sort of notification. In saying that I don't get a whole heap.

by default most android phones with led notifiers automatically have atleast 3-4 colors to distingush what is hitting your phone like text, email, miss calls, facebook messg etc....

only 10 really is that all. last week i we drove to vegas an 8hr trip since i didn't have to drive and we had friends in the back seat who were from out of town (non us). which meant while i was watching movies for the whole 8hrs i also had my wireless tether on so that the folks in the back seat would have internet on there iphones which had no signal from there carrier. after the 8hr drive with wathcing movies and my wifi tether on all the time i still had 42% checked into our rooms let me my phone charge for 25mins and boomshakalaka back up to 100% try that with your iphone6 or 6+ or 6s+++

I'm interested in how much a dark wallpaper would make a difference. I do like my bright wallpapers though. I use it how I want as can afford to really more so with a removeable if needed. It lasts me a full day thats all you need.

How did you measure SOT? IOS does not provide that kind of reporting. Did you use a third part app? I have both the Note 4 and 6+. I would say the battery life is about even. Though the N4 has the ultra battery saving mode that would last 3 days if needed.

Right. The way Apple presents the battery life information, often leads people to believe they've gotten more use on a charge than they really did. I'd be very interested in knowing how he measured SOT as well.

Correct...... It just gives you "usage" which really doesn't mean much.

8hrs of screen time with 8 hrs of tethering, with only a little over half the battery being consumed? Then you follow that up with a 58% charge from 42%, in 25 minutes time? I'm going to go ahead and call bull on this one.

Exactly. You can leave the phone unplugged overnight while sleeping, and when you wake up, you'll have X hours of "usage". That stat means nothing at all to me.
