What are the chances of us seeing Samsung move to Tizen for one of these?
For the note or edge plus.
Absolutely zero. Not happening

I really hope those specs are true.Sorry but looks like two new rumours state the Note 5 WILL have a Micro SD card slot, although it may be the dual SIM version possibly:

In the Middle East, the Jarir Bookstore has posted listings for both the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. While neither listing included a photo, the specs for each model were posted. This would be a good time to remind you to head over to your pantry so that you can take this story with the proverbial grain of salt. If you're on a salt-restricted diet, a pinch of Mrs. Dash will do just fine.
According to the listing for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the device will feature a Gorilla Glass 4 protected 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. Under the hood is the Exynos 7422 SoC, which includes an octa-core CPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB/64GB of native storage. Yes Virginia, there is a 128GB capacity microSD slot on the Note 5 for those requiring additional memory. A rear-facing 16MP camera is on board, along with a 5MP front-facing shooter. A 4100mAh battery powers the phablet, which has Android 5.1 pre-installed. The Galaxy Note 5 will be available in black or gold. Weighing in at 169 grams, the device measures 7.6mm thick.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will also feature a Gorilla Glass 4 protected 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Exynos 7420 SoC will power the handset with an octa-core CPU and the Mali-T760 MP8 GPU. 4GB of RAM inside. 32GB/64GB of internal storage is inside and the back to front camera combo is 16MP/5MP. A 3000mAh battery keeps the engines humming, and Android 5.1 is pre-installed. Under expansion slot the listing says Not Specified, so don't count on expandable memory. The Galaxy S6 edge+ is 6.9mm thin and weighs 156 grams.Pricingfor both devices was not listed. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will be officially unveiled on August 13th and the Unpacked event in New York City.
That is according to one website.
There is plenty of evidence to support what I stated. I hope your right, but we will see Thursday.
Also, little bro claims a new tablet with a spen will be announced as well.
Good point.Ah, don't go by the number of websites, as they will all copy each other, instead go by the number of sources reporting the rumour.
Good point.
I absolutely believe my brother....but if the hybrid dual sim/ext. as card rumor is true...maybe he could have missed it.
I hope the rumor of a Micro sd card, 4000+ ma battery, etc is true.
.
I guess it's wait and see but I'm leaning towards them being only sold with built-in memory options akin to the S6. Hope I'm wrong!

It was been rumored that there will be two variants of the Note 5, one that has an SD Card, whilst this might be true there will be NO Note 5 in Europe. There will only be an S6 Edge+ in the UK and Europe.
The Note 5 will be released in the USA and maybe some other markets but will NOT be part of the European launch or launched in Europe. This is why the S6 Edge+ has been made, as that will be released to the European market.
The S6 Edge+ Aluminium is stronger, 70% stronger than the iPhone in fact. It will feature 4GB of RAM and the same processor from the S6. The screen is 5.7 in size, the same as the Note 4, but fits inside a body and bezel SMALLER than the iPhone 6 Plus. There will also be less bezel (is that even possible) on the Edge+ making the curve seem slightly bigger.
Software features include a new "Apps Edge" in which you can slide in from the side and set your favorite apps, much like a dock. There will also be some changed icons to fit in with Samsung's new "flat feeling" to TouchWiz, though those have already been shown in various mock-ups and leaks.
I appreciate some may find this hard to believe, and may thing "Samsung wouldn't commit to such a bold move", but trust me, all will be revealed this week. Be sure to watch the London even as this will highlight the changes Samsung is making, such as not releasing the Note 5 to the UK etc.
Have fun!
lol...i call BS.....Just read this post on XDA... I think massive shovel of salt is required...
But if and emphasis on IF in a jack and beanstalk believability (sounds like a faery tale) way, then it would be a terrible move ....

We revealed a boatload of information on the Galaxy Note 5 earlier today (and on the Galaxy S6 edge+ as well), and we now have a few details on Samsung’s launch plans for the phablet over in Europe. Well, details on the lack of any such plans if we go by the fact that Samsung has currently put firmware development for the European region on hold.
Countries like North America, South Korea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Asia will be seeing the Galaxy Note 5 hit retail shelves, but neither Samsung Europe nor Samsung Russia seem to be working on the phone’s software. It’s not that the Note 5 won’t come to these regions at all, but it is possible the launch will be limited to a lesser number of markets than what we’re used to for Samsung’s flagship smartphones.
We’re only guessing here, but it’s also possible Samsung wants the Galaxy S6 edge+ to also see some attention in these regions when it launches alongside the Galaxy Note 5 in August; that could be why Samsung is delaying the latter’s release, and it could be that the company will follow its launch schedule of previous devices in the series and complete worldwide availability somewhere in October or later this year.
Yeah I was calling BS on the chances of it having a SD CardActually just checking ... There may be more to it

I think you are right. Samsung and other OEMs have released dual sim phones in the past. But only for very specific markets and typically not North America.I bet you anything there will be a dual SIM version and it WILL take SD cards, because other phones already do that. But none of them will come to the West officially and you'll have to import them or find someone who will. We don't use dual SIM's for one thing.
