Just got mine. Is black really blue?

Haven't read it yet. Just interesting to see tech writers opinions.
"The best smartphone he's ever used", and yet reading it your wondering 'have you ever used a smartphone?'.

He hasn't even explored the S-Pen features but feels qualified to write a review on 'the note' whose very name stems from the fact it's a device with pen input. Whose standout feature is the S-Pen that separates it from other phablets.

This is not a grumble at the Note at all, but at the so called expertise of some of these reviewers. There are elements of the review that actually just read like they've been lifted directly from a press release, the memory part reads exactly same as 'the Verge' review. Like kids copying homework from textbook changing the odd word so its not totally blatant. Coincidence ?

Congrats! How you liking ut so far?

Yeah, it's blueish unfortunately. In the stores it didn't seem blue but once I got mine I can see the blue tint. It's not too bad though and better than the patterns they had in the past.

Yeah my S6 Edge was exactly the same. It looks black sometimes, and other really blue. I like that duality of the colours. My gold one now looks very good sometimes and often very silvery.

I actually like the pearlescent colors.

That is quite decent for the 1st charge cycle. Of course, the battery will get better with more.
Nice start and congrats! :)
Thanks and yes I forgot to add 1st charge cycle too but you've figured that out.

My office gets poor cell signal since it's in the basement.

I use Bluetooth headsets with mine and they sound great, the connection seems stronger than with my Note 4, haven't had any clipping. The on board speaker seems ok, not as loud as my iPhone but gets the job done when I used it.
The Bluetooth is much stronger. In the past if I left my phone in the room as soon as I got down the hall it would start to clip and then disconnect. Now I can go all throughout the house and it doesn't skip a beat. Keep in mind though I have a smallish 1,200 square foot house.

That is great news for me.

My galaxy s6 edge would suffering from clipping when it was in my pocket, and I was walking outside.

Hopefully this is fixed in the note 5.

The NOte 4 was a step backwards in Bluetooth ability. My Note 3 used to stream from the locker room clear across the gym to my Jaybirds. Note 4 the Bluetooth range was reduced to about half. Good to hear that's improved. I hope they improve the muddy earpiece as I've always had trouble hearing people.

Which bluetooth earphones? I have the Jaybird Sprint Freedom, not that great but I got them on the cheap so I'm satisfied.

I lost a good amount of earphones I have bought in the past, either misplacing them or just leaving them somewhere. But I still have loads of em. :)

I preordered mine and paid for shipping to be here tomorrow but ordering through AT&T site it still says pending confirmation. I might cancel the order first thing in the morning and pay for a pick up in store option. I think they could possibly be on backorder.

I have a pair of jaybird bluebuds x, they were kind of expensive, but I use them almost daily. Only downside is that now after 2 years the battery is getting pretty short.

Love my bluebuds x, amazing little headphones. They just came out with a new model with better sound.
