Ok, so why are some of you using an alternate launcher? Is it basically for customization purposes you prefer?

My Note 5 is speedy, fluid and with no lag.

The folders is very lacking compared to Nova and others, plus being able to save my settings to g drive and restoring it on the fly that is making me go to Nova or other launchers.

Anybody find it strange that GSMArena got less battery life out the Note 5 vs. Note 4?

Indeed. I just found it odd that PhoneArena had the Note5 getting more than the Note 4.

In the end I think they are probably about the same.
My thoughts too. I think in the end it will even out to be about the same.

Battery life is very average to poor on my edge too. Guess it's how I use my phone dunno. Still frustrating though.
Yeah, battery life vary wildly from user to user. Let's say we have the exact same usage, but I'm outdoors in a low coverage area with brightness set to auto, and your indoors in a high coverage are also with brightness set to auto. I would have significantly worse battery life because the battery is ramped up trying to find signal and my screen is going to the highest brightness settings to compensate for the sun while yours stays at a lower brightness and is locked in to one tower.

The type of tech can also affect this. If you have an amoled phone and I have lcd, if we both just browse the Web with white backgrounds I would probably get better batterylife, but if we both watched movies then you would.

Or it could be the apps. We have the same usage, but for podcasts I use app a and you use app b, but if app a is better optimized than I would get better battery life even though we're both doing the same thing.

Best you can do is take an aggregate of what everyone is saying and decide from there, but realize what you see may be very different.

GSMArena - Yeah for example how do they do video test ? How come we never see 17 hour SOT ? Is screen even on during this test and if so how is the brightness set ?

Mime is always set to auto and I have alot of widgets on my edge so maybe that plays a factor. Obviously that changes with iPhone 6S plus...

Had my Note 5 for two whole days now (switched from an S6 Edge) and so far loving it.
Have had no major issues but will be putting Nova on later (awesome launcher :D).
Have a lot more investigating (aka playing around ;)) to do on this puppy.

I am running on AT&T (killed off all of their cw I could find). If anyone has any questions or wants something checked let me know....

You guys are going to enjoy this phone. It's a tad bit smaller in height than my 6 Plus, yet .2" bigger screen size. It's a joy to hold. I found I was able to operate it one handed, which I can barely do on my 6 Plus
