pay off the phone in full
I think the way it works is if you paid for the device in full, you have to wait 40 days and then you can call T-Mobile up and you can get the unlock code.
pay off the phone in full
Pay the device in full and have a sercive plan in good standing for at least 40 days. After you have 40 days of service plan, you can call up t-mobile for them to unlock it and give you the unlock code. Until then, you can't try out a different sim card from another carrier. So, I asked this yesterday but never got a response; can I easily swap my att Sim to my t-mobile device without any hiccups? I'd like to see how an att sim works with a t-mobile device.
Why do you continuously persist in bringing the iPhone into every post of yours ? This is a Note 5 thread. This is discussing Samsung, Touchwiz and the Note 5. It has nothing to do with the iPhone.
Likewise If it doesn't bother and you have no problem with it, why are you continuously defending it? Why always attempt to categorise it as only a tech enthusiast problem and even suggest users should fix it themselves ?
You say your not giving Samsung a pass, but by labelling it as tech enthusiast only problem and telling users to fix it themselves that is EXACTLY what your doing.
As for Samsung fixing it. Where is this fix 5 months after launch of the S6/S6 Edge ? Samsung haven't even acknowledged this issue so just saying 'it can be fixed by software' does not excuse it or even mean they will. There is indeed as much chance they will not ... Indeed given the new devices have this issue despite having an extra 1gb ram doesn't fill many of us with confidence that a fix is coming anytime soon.
People are complaining about it because it's something that shouldn't happen on a 2015 flagship. It's letting a great phone downsome of what you said made sense. Talking about a flaw is one thing......but bringing up probably dozens of times in every thread is abit overkill. It seems to be a "i told you so" Or an "i predicted this" thing for some. Then some are just here because they do not like Samsung and just pretend to be interested so they can inject something negative.
The people that have the phone have said its a great performer. Great battery life even though most said here it would not get great battery life. The same are complaining about app refreshes on a phone they don't even own!!!!
Wow that's awesomeFor anyone interested.

Not really sure how I only used 7% of SoT at 4 hrs 55 m; my nexus 6 with 3 hrs of SoT would be around 20%.
carefull....you can't say that here........according to some the Note 5 stutters and lags and refreshes all apps. But most who own the phone will says its a great performer.I know I have said this before but man I have been pounding this phone and it really doesn't lag any. Or is it just me because I have been giving this phone hell with opening apps and navigating quickly around the phone.
I get that part....and they have expressed it quite a few times. But that should not get in the way of the rest of us that have the phone and want to talk about it.People are complaining about it because it's something that shouldn't happen on a 2015 flagship. It's letting a great phone down
It's an amazing device one of the best out there easily. More people are angry that it isn't available here and for that people are angry at Samsung.
Just because people don't complain about it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.if it didn't it wouldn't be mentioned.I get that part....and they have expressed it quite a few times. But that should not get in the way of the rest of us that have the phone and want to talk about it.
The whole app refresh thing.....have you heard one Note 5 owner complaining about it? Most have it was a non issue or they didn't even know what it was . Then others here try to persuade them it is a huge issue. Its amazing to see so much negativity and making a mountain out of a tiny little mound of dirt.
Just because people don't complain about it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.if it didn't it wouldn't be mentioned.
It's most people who have handled the phone who have brought this issue up in the first place. All we can go off is what reviews have shown. The people who are using the phone.
The ones that have complained have made their point. Don't buy the device and move on. Why does it have to be repeated over and over and over again. When you only talk about this and nothing else, on such an amazing device, then there's agenda. I've been known to be hard on the iPhone's lacking hardware. Now if I decided to go into the iPhone forum and start bitching about it, what would you all say? You guessed it, T-R-O-L-L. So I don't care to go in the iPhone forum, and I won't bother buying something I don't feel is worthy of my money. It would be silly for me to complain about a device and then go out and buy that device, only to complain about the very thing I already knew I didn't like. Smh...![]()

I agree with you about mentioning it. But it becomes a personal crusade for some people here. They mention it dozens of times repeatedly in the same threads. Like it s going to make a difference somehow.Just because people don't complain about it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.if it didn't it wouldn't be mentioned.

Well I gave it the old college try kiddos. Bought the Note 5 on Friday and returned it Sunday.
It's a BEAUTIFUL phone. Feels great in the hands. But flashbacks of my S4 experiences began to surface, ultimately sending me back to the iPhone. Nothing major, but it's the little things.
1) First and foremost was when I search the Play Store for an app, the videos they show have ads. WTF? I just want to see what the app does real quick, but you hit me off with an ad first. Yuck. Tacky.
2) No actionable notifications for text messages. The native Samsung app didn't do it, so I figured ok, I'll just grab the official Google Messenger app. Nope. There's quick reply when I'm in the phone already. But if the lock screen is on, it just shows me the message, but can't do anything with it but swipe away. Then I tried trust Textra. That worked, but wasn't consistent. This is really a basic feature. Having to download 2 apps just to get it reinforced the holes in Google's platform. Customization is all well and fine, but having to go this far is silly.
3) Group messages didn't work sending to and from users with iPhones. One person would get it (the first person on the list), the others wouldn't.
4) Missed the hardware button to the phone to go silent.
5) Missed the tap that takes you to the top of the screen.
6) Scrolling through websites weren't smooth at all. It would scroll, but have some kind of stutter if the pages was media heavy. Some of my touch wouldn't register properly. I felt I had to press harder to make pages scroll.
7) The built in finger print reader was great. However it wouldn't auto unlock my phone and bring to my home screen. I still have to swipe to unlock. Perhaps this was user error? No apps made use of this finger print reader to unlocking the app if you have a passcode on it. Would be great for Android Pay....6-8 months from now (see #10).
8) Battery life isn't great. Took it off charge at 7am. But noon I had 48% battery life. My normal use of web, Youtube, photos, Facebook/Twitter/Instagram. Now I see why Android users were freaking out about not having a removable battery.
9) My immediate family and closet friends all have iPhones, so iMessage/Facetime would be missed.
10). The realization I will always be 1 Android update behind just by sheer nature of the Android platform.
It wasn't meant as an attack, insult, etc.Ya. Wasn't asking for your help, but thanks. Just noting my experiences. Yes it's a great, beautiful phone. Well designed better than Apple's monstrosity. But there's little things here and there that wouldn't make me happy in the long run..
It wasn't meant as an attack, insult, etc.
People, this is an online forum, try not to get your feelings hurt, or angry so easily.
Anyway, you posted your experiences,in a public forum; which by its very nature invites a reply or rebuttal, however you want to look at it.
I pointed out your experiences are contrary to pretty much everyone, thus you probably had a dud phone. For example, the fingerprint scanner works great, for nearly everyone. Just like touch id. Thus you have a dude, a note 4 instead, or are not using it right. I was given you the benefit of the doubt in it being the former.
