Been using the phone all day today and performance has been MUCH better. Maybe because I'm pretty much done setting it up, downloading apps etc etc. Haven't had much lag at all today and am very happy with the performance today. One thing iPhone (6s+ in particular) users will need to get used to is the speed of this phone. It's not a speed demon by any means like the 6s+ is. If that's what you're hoping for then you'll most likely be disappointed. If you're looking for the additional functionality that Android and the Note provide then I think you'll be extremely happy once u get used to the performance of the Note.

Mini review of my glass screen protector. Fits better than I thought. Only has adhesive on the top and bottom. I'm not sure if I've lost sensitivity yet, but if I did then it's subtle. Feels a little plasticky and spen feels weird on it, I'll have to try the hard spen tip in the box. Sides kind of stick up a bit, and the sp bezel is just a hair too thick so it cuts off about a mm of screen size. Also corners are rounded for the bezels, cutting off a tiny portion of the screens corner. They should have left the side bezels transparent. It's cut a bit short so cases should be ok. I tried my wife's leather flip case and it didn't push the screen up. This may be because the top/bottom have adhesive instead of the sides. Not sure if I'll keep it, I may let the wife use it as she is less discriminating.

Positive: Covers the awful Samsung logo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Using Nova Prime.

I don't notice the speed difference between my S7 and the iPhone 6S Plus.

I should have mentioned that I've been running iOS 10 beta all summer and the latest few releases have made my iPhone super quick. Everything opens fast, animations are super quick and the experience had been completely lag free. iOS 10 is really well optimized for the 6s+ hardware. That said I still think there is a speed difference between iPhone and note bit it's definitely subjective

Awesome to hear. Did you change back to another launcher? Or do you think sticking with TouchWiz gave you the better performance?

I ended up going back to nova after about two hours with TouchWiz so I've been on nova all day today. Couldn't stand TouchWiz not because of performance but because of the black of customization compared to nova. At any rate phone has been running great today and my wife's as well.

I haven't even bothered with iOS 10 even though I had been meaning to.

Moderate use.

Edit: during the work week, I don't get this kind of battery life. But, I work in a building where the signal isn't great.

I am sure there are speed differences between phones. I've owned most of the big hitters of the last few years. I really can't remember that last time I used a phone and thought, "man this is slow", or "my past phone was so much faster".

I remember thinking the HTC 10 was surprisingly fast, but that's about it.

The note is just about as fast as ever other phone I have used, iPhone included. The note stands out, for me, in several other areas.

Back in 2011, the speed of Android phones varied widely. I remember the galaxy s2, and how fast that was compared to other Android phones. But over the past few years, this issue is non existent.

Speed test and benchmarks are roughly useless nowadays. Now it's up to the public to catch up.

Hmm not sure, I never noticed.
[doublepost=1472358854][/doublepost]Woohoo another random reboot, am I really the only one getting these? Did a factory reset from the recovery and right when first setting it up had some mild keyboard lag, the phone cannot get any more fresh than that. So I was scrolling through my app drawer and noticed some bloatware games I never noticed before, Mobile Strike and Jam something. I went to uninstall Jam whatever the name is and the phone just rebooted for no reason. Maybe Verizon built in something to monitor if I uninstall stuff, lol.

Link to it? Do you think it'd work with a spigen case?

Have you tried checking for an update? I have not had any random reboots or freezes. At&t model here.

Also, did you restore or set up as new device? I set up as new device, I've seen on other forums where the restore caused problems.

Alright people let's hear it. Note 5 vs note 7 battery life how much better is it real world experience

Well I decided to buy a note 7 after playing with one at best buy the other night. Got on Samsung website and they don't offer a unlocked version yet. I was going to buy the ATT version because I figured being the same network it would work with Cricket but the Cricket site advised me that it may be locked for ATT. So, I guess I will have to wait. My original plan was to wait for the Iphone keynote guess I will just wait for that as planned.

It's not locked to ATT. I use an ATT branded Note 5 on Cricket.

I haven't had a single reboot. You might want to exchange it if that's something you're experiencing. It may be something faulty in there.

Any iPhone 6s+ users switch over to the Note 7?

Have had mine since the day it came out and I honestly hate the iPhone. Been thinking about selling it and switching over the the Galaxy Note 7. Just wanted to see what others thought.

If you hate the iPhone, what do you have to lose?

I switched from a 6s+. Loving the functionality and Android and the Note. Hate the limitations of sms/MMS compared to iMessage but not a deal breaker for me
