"These days with all the wicked cross platform messenger apps, I say, If you're under 60, you got no business still using basic sms."

Dont agree, regular sms works just fine for my uses

Well I wasn't being completely serious, and I'm glad sms works for you. I don't always give out my number out to text someone. So I like that about BBM or Messenger. And for me THE BIGGEST advantage is being able to message when I don't have signal because I'd still have WiFi in those places. This is totally the case at work.

I love posts like that. "I do this thing differently than you, it's superior to what you do, and only morons would do it the way you do!" Yes, I can totally see where using 500 different messaging apps just to talk to all of your friends and family is far superior to just ONE. Yeah, in 2016 I wanna use f*cking Blackberry Messenger.

Are you using the Note's stock message app or do you use a 3rd party? I had the exact same issue with my GS7E. Also, what carrier are you with? Maybe it's a VZW thing.
I use Google messenger with Nova and I am on T-Mobile :)

Again, I wasn't being serious, but since you wanna get pissy, yeah using messenging apps is superior for the very reason I said in my previous post; you don't need a cell signal. Or how about when traveling and you don't wanna pay for a long distance text. WiFi! I guess the best part to your post is you calling out BBM like it's ancient news yet you defend your use of sms. Instant Classic. But in all seriousness, nothing wrong with using both.

You know what, I bet THAT'S the issue - its' VZW. Gotta be. I think I'll be switching to ATT for the new iPhone and whatever Android I go with.
There are other reason as well. Some settings need to be changed to allow larger messages through. I have it set to allow all messages to send and receive with no size limit. Then there is the cellular vs WiFi settings and roaming limits.

Hmm, soooo...... my N7 has been running really well to my surprise, kind of like when my 4 year old behaves for an entire day. I know others here run Nova with no issues, but that has helped me greatly, although I also did a factory reset so I'm not sure which one helped. I'm slowly becoming used to TW and really like it. I find that a lot of the things I thought I needed Nova for, I don't anymore. The edge pullout really replaces a lot of things. Plus I'm annoyed with Nova in that I can't change my icons like I can in TW.

Anyone know if you can setup a shortcut or button press to open the edge pullout? I find that it's hard to activate, and if I'm holding it one handed it won't activate at all. So it seems I am getting false touches, but its good at filtering them, but still prevents the edge pullout from working.

The wifi handoff still sucks. Just this morning my phone said wifi was disconnected nearly a mile away from my house!! Of course waze couldn't connect to the network even several miles away and I had to force stop it and restart. I did change my wifi settings to aggressive handoff so will see if that helps.

Is that a setting for Google Messenger or something in the device's settings menu? Sammy's native message app doesn't seem to have anywhere i can adjust message limits.

Sorry it is in the device settings.

Anybody using Chomp SMS? being a jailbreaker back in the days it was great to see a familiar app (bitesms) however I cannot get MMS sending to work no matter what I try. I'm on AT&T and can't send any MMS messages not even small pictures.

Waiting patiently for the LG V20 to be announced before I fully commit to Note7, today I nearly went and got a S7 Edge, I am just having all these doubts WRT Note7. I've never had so many doubts WRT a flagship until now.

So today I noticed my battery running down fairly quickly. I checked my battery statistics and "android os" was at the top. Does anyone know what this is? It also seems to have sent out a ton of data today.

The optimization also mentioned antutu and put that app to sleep, but I didn't see it in the battery Usage statistics.

I had the same problem with the S7 Edge where Android OS and Android System were out of control and no fixes were available.

So any UK'ers getting their Note's tomorrow?!

Mine will be getting to me on Friday I believe but it's exciting to think that it's finally coming out!

I'm still not sure what Vodafone are playing at with my order(s) as it seems my original new connection is still active according to order tracking, which is not ideal. I was told twice it had been cancelled. o_O
So I may end up with 2 Note's on Friday... but I'll just have to send the new order back and keep my upgrade.

Anyone who didn't order from rubbish Vodafone who get theirs tomorrow?! :)

Not sure... I pre-ordered on Samsungs main site and am getting the Gear VR bonus too so was in that first batch for early delivery, but checking the tracker it still hasn't processed or anything... Don't think it's coming tomorrow!!!!

All the items are now 'in stock' on the order page though.

I’m experiencing an issue with my home button. Whenever I click on the far right of the home button, it doesn’t register the action unless I give it a firm press. The weird thing is, I’m not having this issue with the far left side of the home button. And, after a quick search, it seems that the S7e had the same issue. http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/flaky-home-button-t3337431/page2

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thank you for checking! I might have to exchange it.
[doublepost=1472502588][/doublepost]

Thanks you, sir!
No problem.

I don't mean to drag iPhone into this but what do you do when something like this happens after your return period? I know what I would do with an iPhone. Not so sure about a Samsung.

Question: If I do an exchange, what happens to my Samsung promotion claim? Would I still be able to receive it?

I'm under my 14 days so I believe I can exchange it at the store.

Oh yeah for sure. But what about after 14 days? If my Note breaks what do I do? Ship it to Samsung and go without a phone for weeks?
